Where do you put your coins?

On a Yahoo webpage there was an advertisement, showing a nice little pig for saving coins. However cute she may be, I doubt if the Muslims use pig moneyboxes. What else do you use?

sometimes i just leave them on the desk. but i also had a collection of pennies, i put them in a round plastic ball with a coin slot though it. You get it from these toy machines which have little toys in em.

well I dont save my copper coins..usually give it to younger sister and when she fills up her box, she'd take it to Asda, into the penny machine and then they'd exchange it for notes..then she'd take it to Islamic relief.

I do the same...its quite fun when u have a clean out u become rich wooohoo...whats even better is storing eidy (eid money) as book marks in books u never read and then u fgt all bout it....one day bang ur rich again...its sooo fun :)

Actually my mom told me a few years back that since we don't use our pennies, we should save them in a jar and give them to people in Kashmir, even if it's not a WHOLE lot, it's better than nothing. Besides, the exchange rate is decreasing in Pakistan's part, so the money will be worth a good part, and Insha'allah it will help those in need.

I'm dead impressed with you little 'uns who save some and give it to ur mums/older siblings to give to charity mashallah!

Its a good way to encourage giving zakat and learning about it. Perhaps set aside a donation each week and donate it in the zakat box every Friday in the masjid.

Is it Islamic relief that have those cardboard penny collectors for the home. Save all your lose pennies and then donate the money!

Where on earth do you live? In most countries only huge banknotes are enough for taxes!
