sis for the innahu faqeeroun example... shouldn't it be innahu faqeerun [coz it shud be in accusative case]?

I split the thread cos text book is not for discussions, it was a non post area but I think I need to go check the settings.


Anyway sister I am not sure exactly what you mean. The example is innahu faqeer(un)

إنّهُ فَقيرٌ
Inna puts the subject into accusative. Here the subject is actually the "hu" pronoun, which is an accusative thing. This is why we should never actually say "Inna Huwa" cos it's grammatically wrong. Faqeer is the predicate so not affected by Inna, which leaves it it's natural nominative state with the 2 dammas.
