I would like to know what ppl think is the point of this whole forum...
Perhaps some of the mods and admin could say what they think too...
Why should this forum be here?....
What is the point of this forum,it's aims objectives?
What do we get from posting here?
Why are you here?
What is supposed to be the outcome of having this forum?
Why was it created...

its an open forum raya
we strive to keep things islamic, and for the most part, we are pretty successful in that area
there are subjects i would never bring up at ummah.com, because of the lack of discipline from many of the muslims
there are some subjects i would only bring up in the muslim forum
and there are subjects that i bring up that i would only discuss amongst the kuffar, because generally, they tend to be more vocal about their opinions
but please do not take this as a negative thing, i would say ummah.com is a good basic first stetp towards understanding islam on the internet
i also appreciate the presence of the kafirs, as one brother brought up in another thread, debating with them sharpens your dawa skills
except many of us do not have the basic understanding of what is islamic and what isnt
i am usually more surprised by the posts of the muslims than i am by the posts of the kafirs, because kafirs are in darkness, they do not know better
but the assimitating attitude i see from the muslims is disheartening
but alhamdulillah, we have a sufficient amount of muslims and knowledge to combat most issues that arise here
I know why I came here and what I got out of it :p Insha allah that it happens for someone else too

mashallah...
ameen to you duah :D
it all depends on what you yourself make of this forum...
personally I use it as a tool to extract information about what is going on around the world, ie jazakallah khere to the brothers and sisters who paste information normally not found on some western media, also I use it as a tool to find certain islamic knowledge which is pasted here, I also use it as a means of educating people about various issues, also sometimes just come on here to chill out and doss with the bros  come here give some views on islam aswell... so whatever you make of it man...
only thing i dislike is perhaps forum is too leniant on some kaafir who insult islam a bit too much underhandedly and is wayyyyyyyy to leniant on the raafidah shiahs....
but other then that its all good in the hood mashallah

From my brief time here, and brwsing around it seems this forum is for "some" power hungry admins to have some meaning in their life.
no real debate on key issues due to offending or getting backlash.
Limited freedom of speech depending on if you are liked or not.
to name but a few

I think the main aim why the forum was first created was mainly for dawa purposes, to give non muslims an opportunity to come and learn more about Islam and hear things from Muslims points of view instead of only from the media, because a lot of non muslims dnt actually know any muslims offline or dnt have much experience with us, so we should give them the chance to find out about our deen. And alhamdulillah we do actually have a lot of people who were thinking about becoming Muslim, or interested in the deen and after coming here we could help them, and they became Muslim. Some even came with the intention of causing trouble and flaming on the boards, and now they are Muslim... subhanallah!
Also it's a good place to allow muslims 2 talk 2 each other, eg with sisters frm other places accross the uk and the whole world, which is nice :) So its other main aim than dawa, I would say is one of promoting brotherhood and sisterhood within the Ummah itself.
It's also useful as a place to learn some Islamic things, and give reminders to each other... although it doesnt replace good books etc, and ppl can not learn their whole deen from Ummah.com :p It gives the chance to consider other views though, sometimes within our own small community we might stick with only one kind of view or person and we dnt understand others, so it can lead 2 more understanding within the muslims ourselves.
