Hi there, Ever since the forum has been 'up-graded' for some reason I cannot edit my messages. Edit them in the sense that I no longer can re-size, color, or change the font. No button up there ^^ works now... what to do?!

when you edit the post...click advanced...

The new way of editing is supposed to be fast i think if u just want to change a word or so...
But next to the save button,click advanced and it should bring up the full set of tools for you to edit the font size/colour etc...try it and see

I did try that... it's still not working. The buttons (tools buttons) are un-click-able!

Hmmmm.. I noticed that it takes awhile before edits and new msgs show up. Yesterday, I was able to edit one of my msgs, but after editing and checking it, the old msg was still there. Only after a few minutes, the edit was updated.

As for your problem about not clicking, not sure :scratch:

..Sis lonely meanwhile delete all your history and temporary files, log out and restart your comp too...Insha'allah then see if anything works Insha'allah....

hmmm.. strange.. it's actually okay now.. but earlier today, it was updating pretty slowly.. :scratch:

So no need for me to consult with Dr. Computer :p

and changed ur skin?

I logged in and out. I changed my skin. (tried all skins) ...Still... I cannot perform any action on my text.

Had the same prob., just customized my own tools to edit.

Server issues (baba here) Assalamu'alaikum,

Not sure why the server crashed in that way, I just checked and it was nothing to do with mySQL - Apache crashed with a load of dead child processes eating up the memory and slowing the server right down.

Not sure what caused the problem since our configuration is stable and conservative. However it has happened a couple of times before. My guess is that PHP is the problem, possibly eAccelerator too. I am going to do a full upgrade to Apache 2.2.0, PHP 4.4.1 and the latest eAccelerator (whatever version it is).

That should make things more stable iA.

I've had a few probs recently whenever I've tried to post something, the following was displayed:

Fatal error: Cannot access parent:: when current class scope has no parent in /usr/home/forum/public_html/includes/class_bbcode_alt.php on line 402


Then if I tried to return to the point whereby I was prior to attempting to post this is what awaited and greeted me when I got there:
