You do?
How comes?
Sheikh Ahmed Ali is an excellent speaker masha'allah and the topic is very necessary up North (anywhere not just Rochdale) is waaaaay too far for me and these days I'm waaaaay too busy too so will gotta wait til the tape/ CD comes out insha'allah.
I gotta admit I like Sheikh Abu Yusuf Riadh'ul Hoque a little more than Moulanah Ahmed Ali though- less on the shouting but more on the substance, but a lil' too intellectual for some. :D

They're both excellent in their own ways mashallah but i have to admit i am very biased towards Sheikh Ahmad Ali over any speaker because it was one of his talks on the heart that really got me thinking about islam about two years ago subhanallah! :inlove:
I still remember what he said because it made me bawl. He said
"Every time we sin a black mark is made on our hearts and as long as we don't repent these marks continue to build until they cover our entire heart.
Allah loves his servant and is always reaching out to him and sending down his rahmat (love) however the covered heart reflects away this noor (light) thus we become blind and deaf to his guidance"
Subhanallah! At that point i saw my heart right in front of my eyes and it was covered in layers and layers of black....it still is :( but alhamdulillah the layers are not so many :)
Wa Alaikum wa Assalam- go back to do the you know what. ;)
 Not yet :rotfl:

PS I also like Abdal Hakim Murad. Mashallah he is a great speaker

Masha'allah, no problemo we are all allowed to have our favourite scholars- it was a small talk by a unknown local bro that got me to think of ending my jahil days- he at the time thought it was an insignificant word or two but insha'allah Allah (swt) will reward him for my change on the long term. Same here two years ago now for me too. :D

Subhan'allah I know those words man- I got that tape somewhere in my box of cassettes, may Allah (swt) reward him, the bro I know said something that touched me about the debt I owed to Allah (swt) and the Ummah, how we are to protect our selves from jahanam and the Ummah whilst in trials- I really cant share in great detail not because its private but is a bit graphic in some ways for the kuffar to hear (I'll be thrown in the nick I thinks).
 Not yet :rotfl:
Yes thats really really funny isnt it little child eh? If you got soooo much time reply to the you know what insha'allah.;)

:) It ususally is something little that triggers it off Subhanallah. Sometimes just a word or even no words. I remeber i went to a talk by this black brother once and he said something meaningful and then went silent for a few moments whilst he tried to compose himself mashallah and that silence really got to me. He was an excellent speaker mashallah.

 :spunch: He is not a flop!!!!! He was sooo sweet mashallah. I still remember the talk (i've only been to one) and he came on to the podium and was so nervous and shy and went all red. Not that i was looking of course....V_V just couldn't help notice because it was very obvious. Felt very sorry for him! Poor dude

Na'am a person's ada'ab can be enough- I recollect sis. a time a bro was crying- he was a huge bro, but he was crying like a baby when he heard some news about some Muslim brothers and sisters in another country around the Ummah that he never knew of nor ever met- he then made du'a etc.- this happened in an Islamic circle, I remember also a bro. speaker Ustadh Murtaza Khan weeping when he was narrating a story of the character of Prophet Muhammed (saw).
Subhanallah! LOL obviously he did have some impact.......not that i'm saying you're the type to be trhown into jail for you ideologies of course....NEVER! You are as mild as a pussycat!:D
He wasn't the only one- ;) shhhhh... I was of 'that' thinking long before I met him, I was never man enough to come to terms with the fact that I was Muslim first and last til that point, I always had that Ummah spirit within me even as a jahil fool but refused stubbornly to change til my Lord Allah (swt) moved me.
I tried but it wouldn't let me. You blocked it
Nope try again insha'allah.
