Don't know if you are aware, but if you are a student in Higher Ed - ie university you can go to athens.ac.uk - log in with your athens username and buy Studio 8 - Dreamweaver 8, Flash 8 plus a load of other Macromedia software for £60 approx (full retail price £700).
so if you fancy yourself as a web designer or developer this is a heck of a deal (unless of course you have mate who has a copy *ahem* that you could *ahem* borrow.

people tend to trust people they have interacted with, and if someone posts something on ummah.com, and if no one comments, people will tend to trust them
i dont want anyone doing whatever it is you were doing without the mods making a comment of "proceed at your own risk"
i dont know if what you are saying is true or not, nor do i really care, i just want to make sure anyone reading this thread will understand that they will believe in what you say, at their own risk
why bother buying the stuff when u can just download the trial and pop in a serial key easily obtained off the internet?
Most probably its a student version like a cut down version for them to be selliing that cheap...or u need proof of education...

Well, for starters, that would be illegal

I'm not trying to flog it or anything, I work at a uni and intend to buy this suite myself once I have finished with the trial version. The post was for information only.
As for it being a cut down version - I don't think it is. There's no mention of it being Studio8 lite or anything like that. its a bargain, but I fully realize that 60/70 quid is alot for a student to pay!
Definitely download the free trial version from Macromedia, probably most people will do that and keep re-installing, but if you are seriously into web design or flash development that could quickly become a real pain.

Bah id rather use an illegal copy instead of spending £70 on software that I would only be using for uni work
