Help....

Salaaams all :)

i need help (no...not psycological...that another matter altogether) but like i got 2 problems.....

1) i got divx yeh and wen i try playing 'the mummy returns' i cant hear anything (no, im not deaf) but the audio dont work. wen i play any other movie (ie monters inc :D ) the audios fine. What i realised was that wen i played mummyreturns, in the audio properties section it sez 'none available' under audio codec. but wen i play any other movie the audio codec is Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 ......... wats goin on..... wat do i do....?



2) im doin a project on VB and basically i gotta do a search thing where i select the name of a department and all its products show up. its connected to a database.... now how do i do it??? (iv forgotten... bad memory)

Salaam Alaikum SP,

Did you download the right codec? Also you could try using
Elecard divx player. I had problems playin SPiderman elecard
fixed it. Don't ask where its from though....

Sorry Im not a VB programmer AFAIK you will need to embed
some kind of SQL statment in your VB code which would
select the fields you require from the DB.

There is a package out there called NEMO that is a whole bunch of CODEC's for your computer. Look up NEMO and CODEC and download the program and install it. I don't know if this will help you, but it shouldn't hurt.

Well I worked with VBA and database was Access, its been a long time so I dont remember much about it. But VBA is mus similar to VB and I think u just need to make a query with a select statement , its fairly easy.

Assalamulaikom,
Well first make a new query
Enter the table into it from which you want your data from
DO the Select statement where it is like:
Select (data you want)
From (from which table)
Where(the condition)

I hope you get it now, and I explained it well.
