Alcohol in everyday stuff

As you all probably know alot of everyday stuff contain alcohol for example mouthwash, bodysprays etc. What i wanna know is it haram to use these products even though i'm not consuming them or using for intoxication(not that its possible)?

Depends on who you ask. There are some who feel all alcohol is haram. This is not true however. High proof spirits were actually first heat distilled by muslims, but they were developed for external use. I would suggest using a non-alcoholic mouthwash, as well as food extracts that are water based, rather than alcohol based. As for bodysprays, I prefer the old scents, and make my own, without alcohol. The alcohol, while effectively evaporating quickly to release the scent, also ends relatively soon, it also dries the skin. When I have been known to use non-traditional scents on occasion, I spray my clothes, rather than my skin.
