Assalamualaikum
Hoping you're all in the best of health but otherwise...A few words of advice ;)
When Feeling Down
When feeling down..... and that feeling of gloom kicks in what do most of us do? Do we reflect upon ourselves in rememberance of Allah and open the Noble Qur'an for guidance or do we moan and whinge and stick on our favourite 'blues' song so we can further digress and feel justified in our mood?
The only way to make ourselves stronger is ALWAYS to remember Allah.
We need to stop feeling sorry for ourselves. When we are down we
need to look at the problem and tell it,
"I have Allah". "All I need is Allah".
What greater support can be found than such a statement?
When feeling down.... just remember the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi
Wasallam). What he went through. And he didn’t just do it for him
self. He did it for us. We came to this world over 1400 years
after he made his journey from Mecca to Madina. Yet he made du'a
for US. And he made du'a for the Muslims who are yet to come to
this world. He will not rest till everyone of his Ummah is in
Jannah.
When feeling down...... just think of all those less fortunate than us.
We are complaining that we can not marry so and so. But there are
people out there who haven't eaten for a week or more. Those people
are remembering Allah more than we are. When they get just a bag of
sugar they praise Allah in abundance.
I feel (and I'm including myself in this) that we have become a
nation of moaners. All we do is complain. This isn't right. That
isn't right. I want this I want that. I "deserve" better. We will
get what is Allah wants us to have. Nothing more and nothing less.
What we lack in is patience. If we just had a bit of sabr, then we
wouldn't stress as much. Remember,
"Allah is all I need and Allah is all I want."
"Oh Allah, forgive me for being greedy. Forgive me for complaining.
I should be grateful for what I have. You want what is best for me.
I may not see that now but I see it if I am patience enough. Guide
me on the right path. The path of your beloved Prophet Muhammed
(Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam). Increase my love for you and Nabi
(Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam).
Give me the ability to worship you and send salutations upon the
Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) in abundance.
Give me death while I worship you Allah. Make my grave an open
grave with the sweet smell of jannah keeping me smiling. Grant me
the shade of your throne on the day that your anger will be shown
like it has never been shown before. Oh Allah save me from this
fitna. Save me form all that is bad for me and give me what is good
for me.
Oh Allah let me die whilst fighting for your cause and let my intentions remain pure."
Ameen.
