I got 24 out of 30, didn't get:
13. Which word of four letters can be added to the front of the following words to create other English words? CARD BOX CODE BAG HASTE
16. The same three-letter word can be placed in front of the following words to make a new word:
Only one other word can be made from all the letters of INSATIABLE. Can you find it?
Your score was 24 out of 30. That is a very good score, you would have a good chance of passing the Mensa test. Please note that the Mensa Workout is NOT the official Mensa test, and your score will not qualify or disqualify you for membership.
Sallaams
MENSA? Whats the point of wanting to get in? DOes it prove anything, no? Obs, your brain cells do decrease as you get older, as does your fluid intelligence.

Salaam Alaikum,
I had better study hard then if I want that PhD :D
I agree similar tests have been used in the past to justify the differences between intelligences of black and white ppl.
I don't think ppl regard them for much.
Also wasn't Clive Sinclair fame a member of mensa?
Anyone remember his inventions - apart from the Spectrum?

Who's to blame?
This is a story about people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it but Nobody did it . Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought anybody could do it but Nobody realized that Everybody would do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

7. Each number shown below follows a certain rule. Figure out the rule and fill in the missing number.
January 20
April 10
May 5
November 15
July ?
5, 10, 15, 20, 25,
(skipped this one and forgot to go back)
9. Two men, starting at the same point, walk in opposite directions for 4 meters, turn left and walk another 3 meters. What is the distance between them?
2 meters 6 meters 10 meters 12.5 meters 14 meters (wrong)
I knew the formula but worked it out wrong. What a blockhead!
16. The same three-letter word can be placed in front of the following words to make a new word:
LIGHT BREAK TIME
tea (knew it was wrong - no such thing as teaLIGHT - but couldn't think of the right answer - which is ever so obvious)
For number 14 each number was the cube of the sequence . . . . . . . . . . . . . (not saying the sequence).
REALLY? I just guesstimated, and got it right by some kind of fluke
I cheated with number 19 - the anagram (I found an anagram generator (http://www.mi.uib.no/~ingeke/anagram/index_eng.html) on the net).
Comment:
That is an excellent score, you would have a very strong chance of passing the Mensa test and joining Mensa.
 :p

It's word all right, but it's not in my dictionary, either as tea light or tealight.
Maybe it's too new of a word to be accepted by Mensa?

I got 29 out of 30. Missed with tea as well. I know tealight is a type of candle (I have a sister) but I think teabreak isn't a word. It's synonymous with teatime. Either way, day is a much better answer.

29?! whoaaaaa  mashaAllah!!
I reckon tea break is a word aswell... its what you have as a break from work, in the mornings...

I must confess that I love the "brainteaser" genre and have read hundreds (thousands?). I don't always get them on the first try, but I learn when I miss. It just so happens that I've seen some from the mensa test before, or some similar, and I sort of know some of the patterns or typical types of questions (like looking for vowels or syllables in word puzzles).
I still don't think I'm a genius and it certainly isn't all innate. I have to work at it. But, I do praise God for blessing me with a mind that can learn.

You're American, so you can be forgiven. Tea-break in English is actually a synonym of 'coffee-break' in American.

Are you originally British? :)
Then you can be forgiven, also.
Tea break is not in my Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary.
Coffee break is, however.

It's in the Oxford Dictionary, however, and so is coffee-break ...
a pause, usu. between periods of work, allowing for relaxation, the drinking of tea, etc.
and
an interval, usu. between periods of work, especially mid-morning, when coffee is drunk.

Let's call the whole thing off....:)
You say "e-either" and I say "e-iither"
You say "n-eeither" I say "ne-iither"
"E-either" "e-iither", "n-eeither" "ne-iither"
Let's call the whole thing off
You say "potato," I say "patattah"
You say "tomato", I say "tomata"
Oh, let's call the whole thing off
Oh, if we call the whole thing off
Then we must part and oh
If we ever part, that would break my heart
So, I say "ursta" you say "oyster"
I'm not gonna stop eatin' urstas just cause you say oyster,
Oh, let's call the whole thing off
Oh, I say "pa-jamas", you say "p-eajamas"
Sugar, what's the problem?
Oh, for we know we need each other so
We'd better call the calling off off
So let's call it off, oh let's call it off
Oh, let's call it off, baby let's call it off
Sugar why don't we call it off,
I'm talking baby why call it off
Call it off
Let's call the whole thing off
