I'm lookin' out for some company logos for embroidery such as Armani, Reebok etc.

If possible I need it in a format embroidery software understands such as PES' or 'ART'.

Then I can embroider cheap t-shirts with household brand names :D

EPS format......this is a univerisal format which you can convert to almost any other format...and any self respecting program will open EPS format files...including photoshop, Ilustrator, Corel draw...etc

Picture format and embroidery formats are different. A picture format can't be converted to embroidery format unless its digitized. I want to avoid the digitization bit as I don't have time.

But anyways, I found logos in embroidery format using eMule :D But Armani wasn't there :( There was Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Puma, Reebok and their variations however...

Still Armani looks better on salwar kameez :D

Brother why do u want the name of all these designers on ur clothes? considering they all nearly all Kuffaar and majority of them gay aswell... why is it a mark of pride for people to have these labels such that they will go to the extent of adding it onto perfectly normal clothes???

Trends, perhaps...

Its a business venture innit... rather than payin' over-priced money to the kaffir, they can pay less to a muslim and someone who's straight.

So, you two up for MJ designer hijabs

yeah but there is another choice....
namely :

just have a cloth which doesnt say any of these kuffaar names on it?

like u already bought the cloth, its extra money 2 add this lame "brand name" fake thing onto it. so ur doing bad deed in that it is illeagel, and also like imitating kuffaar and i jst dnt get why ppl wna hav these fake designer names?

I dunno, I haven't been into designer gear myself. I think its trends, peer pressure to belong somewhere... If they're gonna buy expensive clothes anyway, why not buy off you as an alternative as the money will go to a muslim :D I have the means to do it.

If there is not that option, they'll pay high prices for designer gear anyway. Its only illegal if I get caught.

But thing with labels such as Nike and Reebok, I can say the quality of their products is much higher than unbranded products or lower-end products. Nike trainers used everyday can last for over a year... now that is something cheaper brands can't do.

Same can be said for tracksuits too. I think they are worthwhile expenditure.

.: Anna :.

yeah I agree about the trainers.... espensive trainers last way better
dno abt tracksuits i dont wear that :p

sorry...but that is a terrible attitude to have! thats like saying 'its only haraam if i get caught' Allaah SWT sees us at all times...and likewise....breaking the law and effectively stealing is haraam..whether you get caught or not

yeh..so by using cheap products and embroidering on imitation labels is that gonna make the products any better quality??

yup.... was an article in salam magazine before about this. sometimes it may b easy for us to forget and think that small things are not wrong like breaking certain regulations, and think if u dont get caught then its not wrong. My prime example(not saying u do it but its jst my example) is the people who buy child ticket on the tube and think if they get away with it, it doesnt matter... or using last weeks bus pass and that stuff. loll this makes me sound mean but I really love seeing ppl get caught for that :p I find it quite funny and plus it serves them right :D

Also we cant do anything like benefit frauds, or jst cos u hav nikaah only and not uk goverment marriage u claim all the benefit like ur single parent when reli u had a strong marriage and husband providing etc etc

insha allah we dont do these things anyway... but some ppl dnt think abt it and realise it is cheating and it is haraam

I'd like to think there's a big difference between Allah's Law and man-made Laws. Some of the man-made laws contradict Allahs laws, yet people choose to follow them in disobedience to Allah swt such as insurance / credit / debit cards / interest etc.

Have you ever driven above the speed limit out of interest?

Man-made laws have copyrights, but all Rights belong to Allah. Breaching man-made laws are not necessarily haraam, even though by replicating designer gear may cause a small loss in profits to the big companies who invest their money for haraam purposes such as for interest gains, can be regarded as deprivin' them of their rizk.

So, a work around would be to slightly modify the design, so it becomes your design;)

No-one said using cheap products. The material for example in T-shirts is probably near enough the same quality (100% cotton) made in the same parts of the world. The difference bein' the label... that bumps the price up.

that is a pathetic justification for stealing

do you not think that the one who steals from the richest man in an islaamic state would not get their hands chopped off??? even if they just stole something minute???

stealing is stealing no matter how you look at it

and man made laws have to be obeyed as long as they don't go against islaam

start up your own label....why imitate??? INNOVATE!!!!

p.s. i don't drive

No they wouldn't get their hand chopped off. Don't pay too much attention the media, they only wanna portray an evil backward image of islam.

Is it a sin to break man-made laws that don't break Islamic laws?

Why imitate? Because I have the skill and the means to do it. Not everyone can do it. I can also innovate.

But exactly what would I be stealing? The material would be paid for. The electricty to run the embroidery machine would be paid for. The thread to embroider the logo would be paid for... nothin' is free...
