ive always been a apple fan, they come out with truly great stuff!

have u even seen nicer laptops then the powerbooks?

apple set the standard, everyone else just follows!

I would love Apple but for one thing...it'd be hypocritical of me :( (i've boycotted micro$oft...I guess its stupid to go and buy an Apple af...but they're so...slim...and OS X Tiger is so...)

I just read the section about the Nano on Apple's site *drewls* its so cool...

We need a Muslim company to make stuff like that...

Big American companies :)

Micro$oft supplies Israel's computers. Not actually sure if Micro$oft did now...but I know IBM received an "award" type thing from the Israeli govt. for their work in the Israeli computer industry :rolleyes:

Assalaam Alaikum

I have read your views on the ipod - my sister recently wanted to buy the nano so I agreed to pay for it -shes my younger sister!

Anyway I wanted to download the Quran onto - in perticular the Quran recited by m.Jibreel. However I have tried to download it from the internet and it wither gets downloaded to media player or just doesn't open in itunes.

Please help me! Any advice on what to do or where to get a downloadable quran would be welcome - even more if you already have the quran [by any recitor] on your nano - then can you send it to me - the file that is?

Is the file you got an MP3? Maybe thats why you can't listen to it.

You can get MP3 Quran from www.islamway.com

yea I heard all the stories.

Alhamdulilah mine is fine right now, I've let people borrow it, dropped it, all sorts but its good alhamdulilah, maybe cos mine says Allah gave me this at the back :D

You could use it to listen to Qur'an...it'd help you memorise the Qur'an ;) You could be listening to the Qur'an, no matter where you are :D (well...)

yea ipods are good BUT i'd recommend the Creative Zen Micro,

Cheaper and better ... ;)

ma sista jus recently got the ipod nano. when she opened the box i saw sum picture of the ipod only to realise it was the ipod. incredibly small.
but 2gb for 140 squids its too much.
and its kinda fragile. i wud prefer the bigger ipod wid more gigabytes.

I honestly can not understand how any Muslim needs more than 2GB of space on any mp3 player :S

Non-Muslims...maybe. They're obsessed with music. But...

Then again...some people DO have HUGE nasheed collections...is it just me that has a tiny one? :embar:

lol na brv coz da fing is u dont only put nasheeds on it. u also put loads and loads of islamic talks. and ders sooo many. which is why 2 gb isnt enuff.

I regret getting a 2gb now, cos mine is FULL up, I should have got a 4gb but alhamdulilah! Well, my Quran alone is around 2gb mashaAllah and my nasheeds are around 1gb. And we havn't even got onto the lectures yet...
