Win XP questions...

- which is better (more secure) - windows messenger or msn messenger?

- Any other issues that a first time xp user should be aware of?

- Should i enable the windows firewall or use the other one i have? - (norton)

Make sure you use another firewall. I use the Windows one together with Zonealarm. (couldn't be bothered to turn the windows one off)

Install an anti-virus scanner, suggest avast! or AVG.

Install Spybot Search and Destroy and enable the tea-timer module to stop registry settings being altered by malware without your permission.

Avg Is Far Better Than Avast
Avast Has A Good Look But When It Comes To Detecting Viruses Avg Is 100% Better Than Avast-i Can Tell This From My Own Experience

MSN Messenger is MUCH better, not sure about secruity but the features in Windows Messenger are really limited.

Oh, and put your seatbelt on, there's going to be a lot of crashes..

yes compared to windows messanger-msn is much better
but have u checked the google talk its the best
no need to type the voice clearity is awesome
