Lesson One: Rashid

Assalamu alaikum,

Finally thought I'd get around to doing some excersises :p

I haven't got a scanner, so I thought I'd do (a shoddy job of) them in [url=http://www.inkscape.org/Inkscape[/url]. Iknscape actually makes writing arabic easy...I'm just VERY heavy handed :embar:

OK, i've attached what I think I was supposed to have done for Lesson 1, excersise 1...:embar:

I'll do excersize two (joining) later, insha'Allah. (the mouse is getting on my nerves...I need an optical cordless mouse :()

I copied ur thing into paint and marked it there so I will upload my marking as a pic for you.
Overall good work.. you missed a couple of dots here and tho so take care with that. The only other thing, is that when you draw the mem, its better to curl it the other way round... if you look at the meem which I circled. The other meems were ok, this one jst looks a bit "fa" shaped... not exactly wrong, bt better the other way.

Handwritings terrible, again :embar:

I tried to remember all the "nakhtas" (is that what they're called?) and the meems...

Argh, I spelt 'iman and 'eid wrong :( (checked against vocabulary part)

assalaamu alaykum

ok here is ur marked work for exercise 2 and 3

with the spelling one, the main problem is with the long vowels..
you have to think like, we don't say masjeeed - we say masjid, we dont say musleem, we say muslim, so you dont have to add a Ya :p

anyway the corrections etc are all written on the jpg file

also when ur writing make sure u put enough "sticks" in the letters, if u see where i wrote a red line going upwards, those are where u missed them out

Hmm...I know what mistakes I made, and how to correct them. I think I'll just progress to the next lesson, insha'Allah...

Yes, I was taught how to read Arabic before...can't speak it though. :( (insha'Allah, thats to change :D)
