the word "رديء" is better to be used only with materials as it means something close to "bad quality" so even in english you won't say "bad quality boy" or "bad quality dog"...but you can say "bad quality shirt" "قميص ردىء" for example

really?! cos I've heard such sentences in uni :S
but if that's the case then sorry about that...
anyway it is a vocab issue, so don't worry too much because still what you have learned from the lesson in terms of grammar / structure is correct. So we will just have to b cautious on the use of the word radee'... I'll trust Al Nasser on this one cos he is an Arab unlike me :p

a synonym is "faasid"

Perhaps a better word for dogs / boys will be

naughty (adjective) ( of children ) disobedient; badly behaved
