I prefer PES4. The game play is awesome and much more fluid than FIFA 2005. The only downside is the player names. Personally I don't mind that.

Can't wait for PES5 :D .

In PES4, how do you shoot from 35 yards and get it in the top corner?

PES4 is by FAR the better game. And also, you can get Action Replays and gamesaves which update your player names, kits etc. so it's all official like FIFA anyhows

Also can't wait for PES5, Arsenal and Chelsea are official in this one :D

Erm, the same way you score from everyhwere else? Hold the shoot butto just over halfay and it should automatically go top corner.

This is a list of some tricks you can do in PES4, that are not all written in the manual of the game, or explained in the training section in the in-game.

<---->Basic Moves<---->

-Strong Pass
You don't have to pass to the nearest team mate any more.
Hold down X instead of tapping it.


-The Sidestep
Run sideways with the ball to sidestep your opponent.
Hold |R2| then tap the d-pad to the side.


-Face the Goal
Stop and face your opponent's goal.
Let go of the D-Pad and tap |R2|. (If you are already running with |R2| then simply release the D-Pad.)


-Dash Cross
Fool defenders by pretending to cross then dash past them forwards or backwards.
Whilst running on the wing with |R2| let go of the D-Pad then press the direction you were running again or back in the opposite direction.


-Shift the Ball
When standing still you can shift the ball to prepare for a shot or long pass.
Tap |L1| and |R1| together when standing with the ball.


-Sprinting
Knock the ball further than normal to burst away from your opponent.
Whilst sprinting with |R1| press |R2| as well, then push the d-pad forwards to a 45 degree angle.

<---->Advanced Moves<---->

-Manual Pass
You can use manual passing to play the ball anywhere on the pitch. Possibly it is best used to put the ball into the space ahead of your team-mates.
Hold |L1| if you wish to play a high pass. Push the right analogue stick in the direction you want to pass and click it in. Release it when the power bar is the desired length.



-Super Cancel
At times your player will refuse to move, even when you are pressing the d-pad. This can be when standing still to receive a pass, or when running to collect a through-pass. If you want to take full control of him use the
Super Cancel.
Hold |R1| and |R2| then push the d-pad.


-SuperCancel2
You can also use the super cancel to move away from the ball.
Hold |R1| and |R2| then push the d-pad.


-SuperCancel3
Defender’s always think you will control the ball, so move away from it to let it bounce and take them out of the game.
Hold |R1| and |R2| then push the d-pad.

<---->Shot Feints<---->



-SingleFeint
Fool the keeper or defenders with a fake shot.
Press [] to shoot, then as soon as you release it press X to cancel the shot and feint. Push the D-Pad to the side you wish to feint.


-DoubleFeint
Press [] to shoot, then as soon as you release it press [] X to double feint.


-TripleFeint
Press [] to shoot, then as soon as you release it press [] [] X to triple feint.


-ChipFeint
[] [] then X.


-Drop Shoulder
Whilst running you can pretend to go one way but go the other.
Whilst running from left to right, press Down-Right (if the player is right footed) just before you touch the ball.


-Two Foot Fake
You can use both feet in quick succession when dribbling.
Whilst running from left to right, press Up-Right (if the player is right footed) just before you touch the ball.


-Headers
Keep Headers low backing off them slightly.
Hold |R2| and pull away from the ball before pressing [] to connect with the ball.


-Volleys
Sometimes you will need to adjust your position to volley the ball.
Hold |R2| as the ball approaches to adjust your run up before hitting [].


-Pushing
You can push your opponents to put them off when they are waiting for the ball.
Hold |R2| as the ball approaches and move your player into the opponent.


-Jockeying
This move only works for defenders that don't have the ball. It helps you face the attacker with a wide stance.
Hold |R2| when near the attacker.


-Slow Up
Slow down in order to wind up a shot or just to confuse your opponent.
When running press [] or O to bring up the power bar, then before you let go hold |R2|.

<---->The Flick<---->

-Overhead Flick
Flick the ball over your head.
Press the opposite direction to which you are facing when the ball is knee to chest height.


-Flick and Volley
Same as above followed by [].


-The Dragback
After sidestepping you can drag the ball backwards.
Whilst sidestepping press the d-pad in the backwards direction.


-The Sidestep Feint
After sidestepping you can pretend to run in one direction then go another.Whilst sidestepping press the d-pad diagonally forwards.


-Standing Feint
When standing still you can pretend to dash. Stop the ball by releasing the D-Pad and tapping |R2| then double tap up or down on the D-Pad (if running left or right).


-The Roulette
Beat defenders by spinning on the ball.
Rotate the right analogue stick through 360 degrees.


-Rabona Shot
Certain players can pull of this shot if they have a very weak foot.
Left footed players should run towards right side of the goal (right footed players run to left side) press the d-pad to aim at the far post and shoot with [].
