Sami Yusuf New Album - My ummah

Anyone heard it yet?

its due to be released Soon i think

Songs are not bad in there although they are becoming more and more music oriented which is a shame :( use of proper instruments that is!

they also got that "mother" song included on that album

the others are "okayish" not too bad although i prefer the first album muallim though

I just wanna say something which will benefit some brothers/sisters, inshaAllah.

Do you watch Islam Channel, sometimes there is a nasheed playing called ''Peace Justice and Harmony'' and ''99 Names of Allah'' by Naseeha, did you see the videos? Well, compare those videos with ANY of the videos bro. Sami had made!!!

You will most definately see that Br. Sami s showing himself too much in them, why can't he show beautiful mosques, instead of a beautful woman? Why can't he show a boy/girl reciting the Qur'an, rather than showing himself doing something like taking pictures??

I know for a fact that the brothers in Naseeha are making new videos, in which they WILL NOT show themselves nor show off, as bro.Sami does. Their videos will show beautiful places and other.

If I had Bro. Sami and Naseeha, and which i wanted to go for, i would most definately go for Naseeha, as these brothers are doing their stuff in a Halal way and not using any Haram instruments.

No harsh criticisms to bro. Sami, but I think its time our ummah woke up and smelt the Coffee. Not fall into the trap of Shaytaan, and avoid something that is disliked by the 'Ullamas and most definately by our one-n-only lord and creator Allah(swt).

So what are you going to do? keep on encouraging bro.Sami to continue making his pop musics, or encourage and motivate brothers like Naseeha, Zain Bhikha, Ahmed Bukhatir, Kamal Uddin, Shaam, Sheikh Ibrahim Al Jibreen, Abid Baig, Sheikh Mishary Rashed Al Afasy, and the french nasheed group 'Les Silence Des Mosquees'' ??

Why not? It's for the better, and anyhow, you will be safe from hearing something with musical instruments, there are always alternatives. It is always god to stay on the safe side of things and trying to avoid things that are Haraam.
