You said u r friends, u mus know if she is wife matrerial for you, so umus know a good deal about her.

Istikhara is just a Dua'a (supplication) like all other Dua's which help and guide one to what is right. This should not stop us from thinking rationally and realistically, once we have exhausted all that is necessary to establish it maybe a wise thing to pursue this, then one should make dua for this decision to be a correct one and guided by Allah Tala rather than the Shaytaan.

what is common nowdays, I find is young guys and girls not thinking straight become infatuated with each other and they are wrongly told marriage is THE solutions (whereas its not always) and they are told to do Istikharah. Naturally when someone is infatuated with someone its instinctual that he is alwasy thinking about that person and naturally istikharah or not his heart will alwasy be inclined towards that person and his decision will be biased.

So my advice, instead of coming here and asking poeple who do not know your reality, who do not know the girl's reality for an opinion, you should go home and discuss with your parents, seek their advice and advice of your close friends who are Islamic and other wise people who know you.

A friend who is now married, Alhamdulillah, was given, and so gave me, the advice that when I get married, inshAllah, treat her as your BESTEST friend. I think thats good advice.

nd if u really wanna know i actually asked the girl to be my girlfriend ages ago and she said no. coz she doesnt do this kinda of stuff. i was like y and she told me that is haram and the only way that she would be with some1 is if she marries them. So then she started telling me about islam and i got the picture.

Alhamdulillah i now pray and have started to keep a beard.
