Assalam Alaikaum !
i wrote this as an exhortation for myself.hope you find it beneficial too .
FAITH OR CORPSE???
Do u often find yourself overcome with Gloom and restlessness?; feel a thirst for something way beyond your mundane activities? feel that something is missing in your meaningless life to make it meaningful?Are you one of those who have lost themselves in their worldly concerns and are trying to rediscover themselves. who have realized that their destiny is not totally in their own hands bt some enigmatic force is there; that when in trouble not a single person can help them unless he is allowed to, by that enigmatic force irrespective of the fact that he may be a parent, a compassionate friend ,or a well wisher and no matter how desperately and sincerely they want to help; that the invisible force is a common denominator in every situation of their life and are intelligent enough to know that if they want to fare well they have to plead their case with that enigmatic power. That unseen force which is your best friend, secret keeper ,benefactor, who loves you, cares about you, understands you and willing to forgive you if u are willing to repent from the depth of your heart. You must have guessed by now who I m referring to . Without any, doubt Almighty Allah, Lord of all Worlds.
If you are trying to find out the answers to questions like " who am I?" ," why am I here?" ," what is the purpose of my creation?" ,"where do I stand?”,” where am I to go?", "what am I worth?" etc etc ,then you neednt go much far for the answers.the answers are awaiting you on the bookshelf(as you might have guessed !yes ! i am talking about quran) !The Qur'an is Allah's greatest blessing for you . It is the fulfillment of His promise to Adam and his descendants: 'There shall come to you guidance from Me, and whosoever follows My guidance no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow' (al-Baqarah 2: 38).
Without turning to it , we Muslims will never rediscover our selves, never give meaning to our existence.The likeness of those who are entrusted with the Law of Moses, yet apply it not, is as the likeness of the ass carrying books. (extract from 62:5)ask yourself ! do you also fit in this category??if so then you have gotten yourself on the brink of destruction.you need to do something about it fast before your time is over!!
Alhamdulillah we are born Muslims. we have inherited 'THE RELIGION’. but for some reasons some of us (including me) haven’t actually embraced Islam in the true meaning of the word. how many of us feel the tremor when we recite kalima e shahadat? how many of us cry with fear of GOD ?for how many of us, are our prayers are not merely an aerobic activity with some holy recitations? how many of us know what lies in the Quran ? no one knows his time of death. who knows we are taking our last breath right now . every moment is crucial. we must rectify our faith before it gets too late. How will we face our Creator then?
we lack the feelings . we proudly say we are Muslims. but think! are we really eligible to be called true muslims?A body without a soul is called a 'corpse' .Honestly ask urself what would you call your faith?
