im jus kinda bored and had enough of law revesion so i decided to write a shyree (poem) in urdu tell me wot u guys think?

Kaash zindigi ke safar mein hum kho na jaye,
Jo socha nahi tha woh ho na jaye,
Itne bhi ghum mein hum doob na jaye,
Ke roshni ke umeed nazar bhi na aiye,
Woh pal ka ehsaas aab tak dil ko chu kar jata hai,
Jaise samandar kinara se kuch khena chata hai,
Woh sach hai ke woh pal phir se ataa nahi,
Magar jo chalagaya samjo ke apnaa tha hi nahi...

I followed the first four lines...then got lost on the fifth line. Sounds like areally beautiful poem, really deep and heartfelt.

I hate it when i dont get the punch line or the meaning of a poem or something someone has said, it so frustrates me!!!!

MashaAllah I loved it! Let me attempt a (poor) translation :p

Hope that in life's journey we do not get lost
And that the things we did not think, happen
And that in sadness we do not drown
That even with the suns light we do not see
The memory of that moment does touch the heart even now
Like the sea wanting to speak to the shore
It is true that the moment shall not come again
But what has gone, understand that it was never yours...

(Apologies for the bits I got wrong! Which was prolly most of it! :D )

hope i dont drown in all this sorrow

and see some hope for light
Woh pal ka ehsaas aab tak dil ko chu kar jata hai,
the thought of that moment still touches and leaves my heart
Jaise samandar kinara se kuch khena chata hai,
like the sea tries (wants to) to say something to a river
Woh sach hai ke woh pal phir se ataa nahi,
it is true that moment will never return
Magar jo chalagaya samjo ke apnaa tha hi nahi...
but that which has gone, know it was never yours

yup d translations r perfect!! n no soul asylum i havnt escaped from ne thing ike dat allhumdulliah i jus escaped from law revesion dat was boring me like ne thing so i decided to write a poem....which turned out 2 be really good Mashallah....
