Who do you rep?!

I guess the title of the thread says it all. I've seen a LOT of people with rep points 'I' don't think they deserve...yet they're getting them for reasons I may be ignorant of...but according to what I see and to my OWN viewpoint I don't think they're not ALL THAT,.... on the other hand, others who so very extremely deserve those points are hardly getting any... or not getting repped enough... so I was wondering what makes you really press that rep icon and rep a person... Enlighten me, please!...
as I mentioned...there might be reasons of which I'm ignorant... that's why I started this thread...

check the above list and let me know with all honesty why do you rep a person...

Well in all honesty today was the 1st day in a very long time that I actually repped someone :p I usually forget the system exists! Which means I prolly could rep more people who are deserving but alas! :p

Today was the first time I got repped in ages! Some of my bests posts get nothing, then again my funny posts tend to get me a rep (don't think i ever had a post that got more than 1 rep...).

I tend to rep people who make a really good point, or make me laugh, or just say something that stands out in general:)

That comment had nothing to do with you. It was a comment on the polls. The norm referred to is that of rep'ing others based on them producing a work worth rep'ing. With those options of the polls, it's like a whole new ball game.... if you like the person... yada yada yada... you know. =/

Then one time I went lookin' for the comments in the inbox. I was wanderin' where they had gone, lol. I had assumed they must've been messages sent to me... but later figured they were rep comments found under CP and not inbox haha.

I think they are the people who know each other personally, i.e. if they are college/uni mates. Not 100% sure though but makes sense.
