they're very organised though... mashaAllaah...and if it wasn;t for their presence don' think there would have been over 100-200 people at the muslim unity march (probz the same 100-200 who are at all the babar ahmad demos...etc etc)

yeh but a lot of them keep active with the 'hizb' way beyond uni.....a lot of other people kinda get absorbed into their jobs/lives etc etc and you don't really tend to see them at events after leaving uni

What I don't get is why each darn 'muslim' association has to organise their own march... there have been two at the American Embassy already about the Qur'an desecration. The first was a mix of groups and the second seemed to be the MAB wanting to look like they're doing something aswell so they called a demo too...

I don't see why they can't all get together and create one big fat demo...

yeh i know....the weds before the 1st demo MAB organised one.... and probz everyday theres a group of muslims from a different organisation demo-ing out there

'one ummah'

ironically most of the groups organising these demos were part of the unity march...so much for muslim unity

My thoughts exactly... but in a way it is good... because now there are many demos happening in the space of a few days that soon it will have to start annoying the government and perhaps draw more attention from 'sleeping' muslims...

On the other hand, there may be so many small demos that people don't take notice anymore...

'sleeping muslims' are too busy shopping around the corner on oxford street

There is a simple reason why they organise seperate demos, the reason being what they call for. MAB is an integrationist group who believe muslims must integrate with the British society so when they demonstrate they do it to seek their rights as British citizens from the Briitsh Govt who they consider their legitimiate system.

Other groups like HT are non-integrationist who do not beleive in seeking begging the Kuffar or sharing platform with kuffar like the socialists whereas MAB is partially a socialist alliance.

what happens after the march is over, does it make a difference to the situation the muslims are in.
