In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

2 ÇáúÍóãúÏõ ááøåö ÑóÈøö ÇáúÚóÇáóãöíäó

Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAalameena
All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

3 ÇáÑøóÍúãÜäö ÇáÑøóÍöíãö

Alrrahmani alrraheemi
The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.

4 ãóÇáößö íóæúãö ÇáÏøöíäö

Maliki yawmi alddeeni
The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)

5 ÅöíøóÇßó äóÚúÈõÏõ æÅöíøóÇßó äóÓúÊóÚöíäõ

Iyyaka naAAbudu wa-iyyaka nastaAAeenu
You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).

6 ÇåÏöäóÜÜÜÜÇ ÇáÕøöÑóÇØó ÇáãõÓÊóÞöíãó

Ihdina alssirata almustaqeema
Guide us to the Straight Way

7 ÕöÑóÇØó ÇáøóÐöíäó ÃóäÚóãÊó Úóáóíåöãú ÛóíÑö ÇáãóÛÖõæÈö Úóáóíåöãú æóáÇó ÇáÖøóÇáøöíäó

Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala alddalleena
The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).

Following on from brother Raafi's wonderful contributions from surah Fatihah, I wanted to draw your attn to one very important thing.

It is vital that every letter, vowel, shadda etc is pronounced properly in the Qur'an, otherwise the meaning can totally change. And example:

ÇáÍãÏ Çááå...means 'All praise is for Allaa.'

If you do not pronounce the letter Í as it should be, and instead make the common error of pronouncing it as a åÜ (normal 'h' sound), you are saying ÇáåãÏ.

Although, by Allaah's infinite wisdom, åãÏ is not an actual noun, the verb åãÏ hamada means 'he/it abated, subsided, calmed down, died away, shrunk' etc.

Total change in meaning, may Allaah not hold us accountable for what we do not know. Ameen.

Also, in ÅíøÇß äÚÈÏ iyyaaka na3budu. 'You (Alone) we worship'. If the shadda on the í is not pronounced, and instead you say iyaaka na3budu, then the word ÅíÇß (without the shadda) means 'Your sun's rays'. Wa nastaghfirullaah.

Please pay attention to this when reciting the Qur'an. Give every letter it's full rights, even if it means you end up reciting alot slower. It's very important.
