Not necessary to say 'yom = day':

As Sabt = Saturday
Al Ahad = Sunday
Al Ethnain = Monday

Al Thalatha = Tuesday
Al Arbe3a = Wednesday
Al Khamis = Thursday
Al Juma3ah = Friday

You can pronounce 3 as ‘‘a’’, in case you can not say the original sound.

hello;

do you, or do you not have to prefix those with 'yom'? eg. yom jumah

Al = the

There are two kinds, one of them is written without pouncing (Al Ash shamsiah = Al of the sun), while the other is should be written and pronounced (AL Alqamariah = Al of the moon), for example:

Al sabt (Saturday) , is written as Al Sabt , but it pronounced as : As Sabt … (Al of the sun)
Al Ahad (Sunday) = is written as Al Ahad and pronounced also as AL Ahad….(Al of the moon)
