</TD></TR><TR><TD>The desecration of the Qur'an by US officials in Guantanamo Bay , Cuba is the latest manifestation of their war against Islam and Muslims. Not content to torture innocent Muslims, deprive them of any legal representation, subject them to mental and sexual abuse, the tyrants in charge of this prison are now flushing copies of the Qur'an down toilets amongst other abuses of this final revelation from Allah (SWT) to mankind.

Yeah, you take a side road off Oxford St, next to Bond St station...

It's easier to access from Park Lane...

Yeh, what was this i heard on the local news that some muslims at this demonstration burned a cross and shouted 'bomb USA, bomb USA !'

Now is'nt that just rank stupidity as bad as flushing a Quran down the toilet? Muslims will win no freinds or sympathy behaving like a mindless mob and in fact it will cause the opposite. I wonder how many more Qurans were flushed down the toilet after Christians heard that muslims burnt a cross in London?

An interesting demo... some things were said that shouldn't have been said... obviously the media only covered the negative aspects of the burning of a cross and chants which only lasted a few minutes...

They didn't cover the way in which we all prayed Juma'ah...

They didn't cover how despite being antagonised by a passer-by nobody reacted despite the fact we could have crushed him...

They didn't cover how the speaker asked us all to leave peacefully at the end which we did...

They didn't cover how food was handed out at the end to all present regardless of whether they were muslim or not...

Don't believe everything you see covered by the media...

yeh...when i watched the news i was quite shocked at what i saw....esp the burning of the cross :( but suppose you always get a group of people who get carried away/try to cause trouble

but sounds like it was really good alhamdulilah

was it a good turnout?

Hmmm depends on what a good turnout is...

Seems like the same people turn out all the time...

There were around 200-odd people and with a country with however many muslims, I guess it's a matter of opinion whether it was 'good' or not.

Negative media coverage seems to discourage other muslims from attending such gatherings... but they only show part of the story...
