Patricia Williamson from BBC Television is looking for grandparents in the following area regarding the intended 'Inside Out' programme - her BBC area is Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Herts.
She would like to feature a 'success' story as well as a grandparent or grandparents who are currently trying for access to their grandchildren. As long as we have a good success story who can talk openly about how good it is to be back together we can certainly offer anonymity to anyone willing to talk who is currently in the midst of the situation.
She has contacted two lawyers in Cambridge who have experience of these matters and would include legal opinion from them.
BBC are contacting Wendy Richards (Pauline Fowler in East Enders) to ask her to present this feature as her storyline in the soap is currently about access for grandparents. If she agrees to do this Patricia hopes she will also be able to talk to the families concerned.
In addition to the above, Patricia says she will include statistics in the feature about numbers of people affected, the effect this has on the family as a whole and most specifically on the children and grandparents.
She is very happy to travel anywhere in the region to meet any individuals who are interested but not sure - and would like to meet her first before committing. In fact I think given the nature of this film it is advisable. At the same time they can check her out to make sure she doesn't have two heads!

The feature will be about 10 minutes in duration and will go out in the new series which starts in September. As far as Patricia is aware it is at the same time of 7.30pm after the Holiday programme on Mondays on BBC1.
