Operation Muslim Vote
In the English Civil War radical groups lobbied outside churches and railed against the religious establishment. In 2005 it's happening again but this time prompted by a new generation of politicised British Muslims. Leading this revolution for greater involvement in the democratic process from a bedroom in Ilford are Asghar and Mudasser. Their organisation, MPAC, the Muslim Public Affairs Committee, aims to mobilise British Muslims to vote against MPs who supported the war in Iraq and to get Muslims who, until now, have refused to vote - believing their religion forbids it - to the ballot box. A million votes could be at stake and in this film MPACs battle to swing the vote in key seats gives a unique portrait of one of Britain's most misunderstood populations.
