Assalamu Alaikum,
Yes I'm at Uni too- well 'good' is one way of putting it if you mean the end result of actually getting the diploma or degree but in the meantime its very time consuming and a lot of hard work, also there is sooooo much fitnah at Uni so you need to be mindful.
Stick with the ISOC like glue, stay in the prayer rooms, library and studies and avoid too much hanging around needlessly as there is a lot nasty stuff to be found.

As Salaamu Alaikum,
I have been to both 6th form and collage. In collage the atmosphere is a lot more relaxed, whereas in 6th form you still have the old unnecessary rules from back in the secondary school days. Also in collage you may well find many mature students who are lot older in age than yourself.
I prefer collage personally, and that’s where I’ve met my closest friends. My brothers in Islam who I would will be there for me no matter what, it’s a comforting feeling.

As Salaamu Alaikum,
Not all collages have an ISOC, tell you the truth I didn't see one until I started a diploma course at the University of the Arts London. I didn't find much use for them at all.
Sister Janathi, don't base your opinions about the merits of either by mine or other people experiences, rather look to each collage or 6th form, see what they have to offer in relation to the course of study you wish to undertake.
Trust me there are some very awful collages out there, with very stupid people. Such people will do nothing but become a barrier in your studies. Imagine a class room with stupid people asking stupid questions, or even worse complaining and whining for nothing about nothing.

yes so I have heard.. .., but its so hard to choose especially when both look very good..I mean there are many advantages of staying in a 6th Form but there are some disadvantages..same with college..
Especially if you dont really have some one else like an elder sister or brother to tell you 'yes go so and so...because I did like it there or... didn't really because..' etc I mean you could get an Idea from them.
But if you dont then its kind of confusing especially when your parents are supporting you and saying 'Its your chioce'... ..but cant really say what is better .....I guess yes, I need to look at the options and what enviroment I'd be best suited to.
Insha'Allah please remember this little sister in Du'a
