It is narrated by Anas (RA) that the Holy Prophet :saw: said a man died who only remembered Surah Mulk and nothing else from the Holy Qur'an. When he was buried, the angels of punishment came but this Surah prevented them from punishing him. The angels said, "You are a part of the Qur'an, we do not wish to annoy you, we have no power to punish or reward you. If you want to save the dead then go and recommend him before Allah".
She would go and say, "This dead person used to recite me in the world, I am in his heart, if you want to punish him then erase me from the Qur'an."
The Lord said, "You are angry". The Surah will say, "I have a right to be angry for him".
Allah said, " I give the dead body to you and accept your recommendations".
The Surah then returns to the Angels and saves him, remaining as a protection for him in the grave.
There are many more pleasures in the grave but there are also very severe punishments. To learn more about the conditions of the grave, click here (http://www.ummah.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56044).

It is from 'Noorus-Sudoor fi Sharhil Quboor' (The Scene of Death and After Death) which is a collection by Allama Jalaluddin Suyouti, a renown scholar of Islam.

There are no links on the net which I could find in relation to this particular book as it was originally written in Arabic and very few of his books have been translated into modern English. He had written over 139 books and you can see a brief biography here (http://kitaabun.com/shopping3/article_info.php?articles_id=8//) as well as the names of some his works. If you are looking for the sources of each individual hadith, I believe that you will have to refer to the original arabic text as the copy I have is an old English translation.

I have a similar hadith to the one I mentioned at first...
Khaled said: Sura As-Sajdah (32) will argue on behalf of its reader in the grave saying: O Allah! had I been of your Book, accept my intercession for him; and had I been not your Book. efface me from it. It will then become like a bird which will spread over its wings upon him and will intercede for him and will prevent the punishment of the grave from him. And he said about Surah Al-Mulk (67) in a similar manner. [Part of Hadith - 2176]
This hadith was narrated by Khaled bin Madan and transmitted by Darimi (Mishkat).
Hope that helps...
