In the Most Controversial Civil Liberties’ Case this Year
JUDGEMENT DAY
Has arrived!

TUESDAY 17TH MAY 2005
10AM
BOW STREET MAGISTRATE’S COURT, COVENT GARDEN, LONDON WC2

The Extradition Hearing began in November 2004
Under the new Extradition Treaty 2003, the USA did not need to provide any evidence to the Court back its allegations against Babar Ahmad.

Lawyers gave expert evidence that on extradition Babar would suffer gross abuses to his human rights, including;
· Solitary confinement
· No access to visitors, including family
· No private access to a lawyer
· Transfer to Military detention (e.g. Guantanamo Bay)
· Secret kidnapping to a third state for torture (rendition)
· Likelihood of facing death penalty

The USA made “promises” not to abuse his Human Rights
CAN WE REALLY TRUST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?
100,000’s dead in Iraq War, No Weapons of Mass Destruction, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay...

On Tuesday 17th May at 10am the Judge will give his final verdict whether to extradite British Citizen Babar Ahmad to the USA. He could walk out a free man on that day to his awaiting supporters!

BE THERE TO TELL THE WORLD WE WILL NOT ALLOW HIS EXTRADITION

A special request to all brothers and sisters from Babar

We have done all that is in our means as our asbaab (precautions) as the judge's verdict approaches. This includes the various demonstrations, petitions, letters to MP's, conferences and excellent lawyers, alhamdulillah.

Many people have been and continue to work tirelessly for my release. I acknowledge, appreciate and am grateful for all the hard work, effort, sweat, brainpower, money and skills that various people have put in and I can only say to you: Jazakumullahu Khairun. I will bear witness before Allah on the Day of Judgement that you did not sit silently when you saw one of your brothers being oppressed, but rather you sought to do something about it.

I now request you all, in the lead up to 17th May 2005, to please increase upon making du'a and ask others to do the same. The final result rests with the Judge of all judges, the King of all kings, Allah (SWT). Please try to avail the best opportunities for making dua such as travel, umrah, sickness, last hour before sunset on Fridays, last third of the night in tahajjud, etc. to increase the likelihood of acceptance.

There are many brothers behind bars awaiting extradition and the result of my case will directly affect them. Please remember them all when you make your du'a.

My family is encouraging supporters to be present outside the Court on 17th May 2005 at 10am to receive the verdict. Please attend if you are able to.

May Allah reward you all and allow me to thank you personally one day.

Wassalaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu

Your brother

Babar Ahmad
