Islamic Society of Britain Presents:

WEEKEND FOR WOMEN 2005 - CHANGING LIVES

Date: Friday 6th May - Sunday 8th May 2005
Venue: Markfield Conference Centre, Ratby Lane, Markfield,
Leicestershire, LE69 9SY

An opportunity for you to spend a couple of days in a positive,
uplifting environment with others just like you. 'Changing Lives'
that's us isn't it? We're always doing it! Each day we have to
deal with many aspects of life as it changes in front of us. Our
lives grow and change and we have to adapt over the years and of
course we change the lives of others.

Everyone nowadays is so busy being busy! Juggling home, family,
school, children, husband and so on. But how often do we take
time out to look at our lives and ways that we can do things
differently? How can we learn to enjoy time with our children
and shape their lives? How can we manage our time better? Do
we know how to set goals and how much difference that can make
to us and those around us?

The weekend will not be full of lectures by people talking at
you. It will be about discussing, sharing ideas and finding
ways to do things differently. At times it can feel like we're
the only one going through challenges and that's where sharing
and listening can help.

You will go home from the weekend, insha-Allah, feeling inspired,
motivated and ready to put into practice the tips and advice that
you have learned. This year only children aged three and under
will be allowed to attend the weekend. Space is limited and we
want as many women to attend as possible. We also know that
spending some time focusing on no-one but ourselves can be more
productive. Don't delay, places are limited so change to 'Office
Manager' and send off your form straight away.

* Cost: 16 plus - £40, Under 16's - £30, 3 and under - £20
* Closing date for applications: Friday 22nd April

i thought it was ok for women to travel without a mahram for one day and night, unless its for knowledge and theres no way of her getting it unless she travels (like in the case where a women has no mahrem...or in a place where she can't get knowledge so has to travel to it and her mahram can't go with her??)
