Yeah I was confused as to where to put it but I thought 'General' would be best as then any non-members would also have the benefit of knwoing when and where the event is.

As for anyone debating about Shakyh Ahmed Ali, I can only see benefit and huge inspiration from his talks.

I personally dont like the idea of people loving personalities so much over the knowledge of Islam.

Most of the time when these personalities are coming down there is no mention of what they are going to talk about and why? poeple just go there to see their faces and get a buzz out of the way they talk.

Just my opinion. and Rasool Allah (saw) warned us about this.

I hope you dont mind, I dont wish to debate this either :)

:salams Hope you are all in the best of Imaan and Health. :insha: the talk is tomorrow and will be enlightening for all who attend, both men and women. I sincerely appeal to the sisters to attend as the facilities for women at these talks are improving vastly these days and can only get better. It is the duty of the menfolk to ensure that the women receive knowledge of the deen.

He is from Bradford..that might explain why.
