muslim girl: you are right- but i think that you don't have to put down the actual reason you need people to make dua for you- just say "i am having problems/ troubles... i need your duas please." and then we can make dua for you with the intention of Allah bringing you relief in whatever ails you- if thats ok then we will keep it here- afterall we need all the duas we can get it- even if it has to be from the opposite gender- but if people want one in their respective forums- i' ll ask the mods to do one for each forum- but i suppose its better here- as it also gives people the chance to find out they aren't the only one going through such a thing etc, and people can make dua for them or post up information that will help them in their problem

Recently I've been thinking about the risks of posting on this forum.. I'd request that everyone do dua that Allah(swt) protect us from those who would do us harm and keep the Muslims here safe.

Also I'd request that my brothers and sisters pray for me and us all to be saved from humiliation in this life or the next.

yes you are right sis- but despite the risk, we still post, becuase we feel the benefits and awareness that might be brought to others here and that we are doing it for the sake of Allah outweighs the risks and so we still do it.
sis its a heartfelt ameen to your duas, we need it always and forever inshallah.

Remember the verses in surah baqarah:

verse 9:- they think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they percieve not.

verse 10:- in their hearts is a disease, and Allah increaseth their disease. A painful doom is theirs becuase they lie.

verse 11:- And when it is said unto them; make not mischief in the earth, they say: we are peacemakers only.

verse 12:- Are not they indeed the mischief-makers? But they percieve not.

Verse 15:- Allah (himself) doth mock them, leaving them to wander blindly on in their contumacy.

verse 16:- These are they who purchase error at the price of guidance, so dtheir commerce doth not prosper, neither are they guided.

verse 17:- There likeness is as the likeness of one who kindleth fire, and when it sheddeth its light around him Allah taketh away their light and leaveth them in darkness, where they cannot see.

verse 18:-Deaf, dumb and blind; and they return not

also remember that if the whole world was to come against you and Allah was with you, they could not harm you, and if the whole world was with you, but Allah was against you, they could not save you.

On the topic of forum security.. I will inshaAllah be posting a discussion me and yorkshireman had in private which raises some interesting and important issues.

I asked his permission and he agreed I could share it with everyone in Muslim Forum.

On that note.. he's such a nice guy, May Allah(swt) guide him to the straight path.. he's one of the non-muslims that I feel has potential, if only we and him could focus on Islam and not Muslims and what Muslims do wrong.

Keep the non-Muslims here in your dua's too please everyone.
