View Full Version : Home Again

Mary Carol

Sometimes I wonder if I'm ever gonna make it home again,
it's so far and out of sight.
I really need someone to talk to,
and nobody else
knows how to comfort me tonight.

Snow is cold, and rain is wet.
Chills my soul right to the marrow.
I won't be happy till I see you alone again.
Till I'm home again and feeling right.
I wanna be home again and feeling right.

Is this from another Beatles LP? Please stop posting nice words. I find them offensive.

i love carole king, but personally I would have picked a song of hers that had more depth and substance like...................

The Locomotion
Carole King
(Pearls: Songs Of Goffin And King)

Everybody's doin' a brand-new dance, now
(Come on baby, do the Loco-motion)
I know you'll get to like it if you give it a chance now
(Come on baby, do the Loco-motion)
My little baby sister can do it with ease;
It's easier than learning your A-B-C's,
So come on, come on, do the Loco-motion with me.
You gotta swing your hips, now. Come on, baby.
Jump up. Jump back. Well, now, I think you've got the knack.

Now that you can do it, let's make a chain, now.
(Come on baby, do the Loco-motion)
A chug-a chug-a motion like a railroad train, now.
(Come on baby, do the Loco-motion)
Do it nice and easy, now, don't lose control
A little bit of rhythm and a lot of soul.
So come on, come on, do the Loco-motion with me.

Move around the floor in a Loco-motion.
(Come on baby, do the Loco-motion)
Do it holding hands if you get the notion.
(Come on baby, do the Loco-motion)
There's never been a dance that's so easy to do.
It even makes you happy when you're feeling blue,
So come on, come on, do the Loco-motion with me.

That song does mean a lot to me. I was a 6 year old in a magenta raa-raa skirt when Kylie covered this song.

I could dance the dance, smile the smile and well fluff my hair in pretty much the same way. Shame it was all in my head- I could have wowed all the octogenarians at the local Derby and Joan Club.
