Q: Are contraceptions permissible?
A: All forms of reversible contraception (e.g. condoms, IUD, etc.) are permissible on condition that it is not used out of fear of poverty and also that it is consentual between husband and wife. Hadhrat Abu Saéed Khudhry (RA) reports that one person asked Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) about Azal (Coitus Interruptus). Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) replied, ‘When Allah Taãla intends creating a child, nothing can stop him.’ (Mishkãt pg. 275; Qadeemi)

Many, many opinions on contraception from different scholars. Generally, it depends on the type of contraception. Barrier methods are generally thought to be permissable but morning after pills are thought to equate to abortion.

There is only one type of contraception permissable in Islam, know as 'Azl which is withdrawal before ejaculation.
Please refer to Sunnipath.com for a detailed response.
I would urge everyone to refer all fiqhi questions to Fiqh websites rather than asking here. Ins'Allah.

asalamualykum, i think these questions should be asked here as they do not go too deep in to a personal matter, and every one here is a learner and muture inshallah those who are not they are also monitord by the amins and can be srted out etc inshallah. we can not ignore these topics according to islam.
i hope u understand where i am coming from.

I agree with Bro Salman. Regardless of how deep the questions are they are still of a Fiqhi nature, and responses to this exist. There is no point in us exploring and giving our personal views when our scholars have and can reply to these questions.
Besides I believe this is pretty important topic that we're talking about and shouldn't be taken lightly.
When I first joined, i didn't quite understand why people discussed topics which have clear cut answers (and i still don't) unless it was just a thread which would help each other understand things by means of pasting fatwas or links from reliable sources here.
We are learners and we should continue to strive to learn, maturity doesn't really play much of a role for this topic.
Allahu Aalim.
