Dark, cold days of winter enshroud my life
Isolated and deserted by my wife
As each day passes, a new dawn approaches
Each day grows a bit longer, filled with hope
As winter gives way to spring, my despair disappears
A field of glistening frozen emotions begins to melt
Providing the nourishment for hope springing forth
A blanket of cold, bitter cold emotions give way
to a refreshing field of daisies and sunflowers
holding their heads high, proud and strong
The harshness of winter, strengthens the seeds of hope
Feeling the warm embrace of springtime nearing
Brings with it, hope of raising my face to the warmth of a sunny day
