This is a fictional story that you can share with your kids. :1peace:
SCENE 1
Students of knowledge sitting around their Sheikh after Asr Salaah. A respectable sheikh with a black turban, he sits with his big white beard giving him the appearance of awe and majesty.
The sheikh said: Praise be unto Allah, and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our prophet Muhammad, upon his family and all his companions and those who befriend him, the following:
Read! Oh Omar bin Ahmed bin Lewis bin Attiyatallah.
He praises Allah and then reads.
"The author of the book (Encyclopedia of false idols) said: Under the chapter Alif, (America)...and some (in Arabic writing) brought forward the Yaa' before the Raa':
The author said: It has been told to us...that behind the great ocean there once was a false God called (America).
The Romans had brought her from their land to the new land. To create her, they brought slaves from Africa, builders from China and scientists from all around the world. She eventually became so great and famous and all knew of her, that she eventually became worshipped on this earth as an idol besides Allah. People worshipped her out of fear and want.
We have also been told that if she became angry at anyone, she would send bolts of fire from her land and she would destroy that land and burn their crops and offspring. If she was pleased with anyone she would shower him with money, women, wine, and worldly delights which words cannot describe. There were also those who worshipped her out of love, adoration and godliness.
The author may Allah have mercy on him said: That is Allah's affliction, He afflicts with it whom he wishes.
Some of the historians who lived in this period said: She had a strange device. This device would create another idol in the heart of each person, and that person would then fear her (America) and hope for her without knowing. With this device, she would create sorcery in the eyes of people and they would see her in a way far from the truth...she would seem great in their eyes, and their hearts would then fear her.
They would think that she knows everything, that she hears everything, that she surrounds everything. Many people believed that she would watch them in their homes whilst they were amongst their families.
Her evil spread, her affliction touched everyone, and the whole world succumbed to her. She ruled from the furthest East to the furthest West. The Muslim people were very disturbed by her...
Then Allah graced them with an Imam and a reviver...helped by Allah and guided by Him.
Abu Abdullah, Osama bin Muhammad bin Awad bin Laden. Allah destroyed her on his hands.
He appeared in the land of Afghanistan, to the East of Khurasaan, it was the land of his Hijra and Jihad. Its people supported him, they stood with him. His origin was from Hadramawt, and his living place was Al-Madinah."
The student, Omar bin Ahmed bin Lewis bin Attiyatallah said: "The words of the Author of (The encyclopedia of false idols) ends here."
The Sheikh said: "Yes. America had afflicted people from amongst the Muslims, some of them disbelieved in her, but no-one dared to oppose her, and fight her until Osama stood up amongst them. He then called people to wage war against America, so they insulted him, they criticized him and they ridiculed him. He did not pay heed to their words. A group helped him, and the Afghans gave him shelter as the author had said. He sent to America a chosen group, of the most brave and steadfast men. And so they poked her in the eye, they broke her nose, and this in front of all of mankind, right in front of her guards and security.
And so Osama hid.
She shook and became wild, and she sent her bolts of fire and it burnt the green and dry lands. She poured her anger onto the whole world. She came out with large armies, destroying all who stood in her way, she occupied the whole world, she filled the seas, the lands and the skies, but she was unable to kill him."
The Sheikh said: "The state of most people on that day was like the state of the people when the prophet's companion Khalid bin Al-Waleed destroyed the false idol, Al-Uzza...they said: We will wait and see what the idol does to him in revenge and when it eventually did nothing to him they disbelieved in her.
This is how the people looked at the matter of Osama and America. They said: "Perhaps we should follow the magicians if they are victorious" but when they saw her inability, her sorcery was destroyed in their eyes. And so the idols which she had created in their hearts had started to crumble and fade away.
This was the greatest thing Osama did. He removed the fear of her from the hearts of the people."
The Sheikh said: "Osama read the verse: There was a good example for you in Ibraheem and so he took up his example, he followed his course, and he destroyed the idols. He went to their idols and he shattered them, he destroyed their greatest and strongest fortresses and the whole world watched as the idols were being destroyed. The guards and supporters said: Who has done this to our gods?!! Their ministers and advisors said: There is a young man who mentions them with disgust. They call him Osama. They said in reply: Kill him or burn him!!!
They poured on his hiding place fire from the sky, but Allah made it cold and peaceful on him. He then started chasing them down, killing them in every valley, until he tired them out...they screamed "Help!Help!". But there is no Uzza for you today!
That is the bounty of Allah, and He gives it to whom He wishes. "
One of the students said: "Sheikh, the land of the Afghans which you mention, do you mean by it our land? He replied: "Yes by my Lord! He (Osama) came to Kandahar, and he sat right here where I am sitting now. My grandfather told me that he met people who saw him and fought with him in those mountains, and he pointed to the East.
One of the students said: "Tell us more Sheikh about the story of Osama and the idols.because the author of the book on false idols has not fed us enough information."
The sheikh said: "The author of that book only intended to mention the names and stories of the false idols but the stories of the leaders and heroes you will find in the books on history and battles. I have some books that have been translated, like the book, The History Of Kandahar. I bought it from the Salafi bookstore in Kabul through the Islamic internet network and it has arrived. We will read from it in tomorrows lesson Insha-Allah.
Mullah Abdul-Aleem, the author of the forums who died in the year 1501H had mentioned some of their stories so Omar bin Ahmed bin Lewis Bin Attiyatallah, perhaps you could bring his stories, in the lesson after tomorrow? It is printed and sold in the Kandahar library. Many books have been written on his(Osama's) life...we will mention them when the time arises. And may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon Prophet Muhammad."
The Sheikh then left and so did we.
SCENE 2
The Sheikh sat after Asr Salaah in the mosque, and the students gathered around him...
The Sheikh said: "I brought with me the book, The History of Kandahar, so that we can read a bit of the biography of the hero Osama, as we promised you in the last lesson."
He then gave the book to Omar bin Ahmed bin Lewis bin Attiyatallah.
Omar bin Ahmed bin Lewis bin Attiyatallah took the book, looked in the contents page and chose a chapter on the arrival of Osama and his pledging of allegiance to the prince of the believers Mullah Omar Mujahid.
He praised Allah and began to read: "The author may Allah have mercy on him said: "It was the year 1417 H, in the month of Allah Muharram, Osama and his followers arrived in Kandahar. This was so because when Osama criticized his people for worshipping idols and incited them to fight America, only a few of his people followed him - others came from far away lands. Strangers were being hunted down, weak and modest people, the weak amongst their tribes. They had no strength to protect them from their people.
Osama started meeting the leaders of tribes, looking for those who will give him shelter, and help him and his followers, so that he may fulfill his promise he made to Allah by destroying the greatest idol. He heard of the rise of Islamic rule in Sudan, He sent a messenger to them and they said: come to us! You are most welcome! A noble guest! Invest your wealth in our land and join is if you want in our Jihad.
He then paved the road of challenge and he built camps and he filled them with the Mujahideen. They slept comfortably for a short period of time - until America said: Remove them from your village!"
Sudan said: "We will do it, and then will you be pleased with us Oh America?!! Leave our land Oh Osama!"
He said: "Did you not give me permission to fight Jihad??"
Sudan said: "We meant the Jihad against Garang, but not against America."
He said: "But it is her I want and to her destruction I endeavor."
They said: "We have no strength to fight her, so leave, we are advisors to you.
The Sheikh said: "Sudan feared America regarding Osama, but they did not fear Allah regarding Osama."
She was given the choice between America's pleasure and Osama's wealth, so she chased him away, and she obtained neither America's pleasure nor Osama's wealth. They stripped her of everything until she had nothing.
The Sheikh said: "Yes? Continue."
He said: "The author may Allah have mercy on him said: Osama then returned looking for a refuge and a helper. He sent a messenger to the Taliban in Kandahar. They said "Come forth to the weapons and the strength!"
He said " My goal is to destroy Hubal (the false idol)."
They said: "Allah is great! Destroying idols is our trade!"
He said: "It is Jihad I desire."
They said: "We are the people of Jihad and the sons of war. We came from her womb and we drank from her breasts."
He said: "Can you manage against the Bani-Asfar (Romans, ie:America)?"
They said: "Wage war against whom you will, and make peace with whom you will. Tie whatever rope you want, and cut whatever rope you want and take from our wealth what you want and leave what you want. Verily we are patient in war, true to our word at the time of confrontation and if you cross the oceans to fight America we will cross it with you."
He said: "Her swords will seek you, and the Arabs, Romans and Turks will shoot at you with one bow."
They said: "Say, we will only be afflicted by what Allah has written upon us."
He said: "America will come with her iron and metal, she will gather against you the confederates, and she will make alliances against you."
They said: "Allah is our helper and there is no helper for them."
He said: "They will trample your lands with armies the like of which you have never seen before."
They said: "Then we will not say to you what your people have said: Go fight you and your Lord, we will sit right here. No, rather we will fight next to you, behind you, to your right, to your left and perhaps Allah will show you, regarding us that which will please you. Never has an army touched our lands and left victorious."
He said: "People will turn away from you, and the people of the earth will betray you."
They said: "Hasbunallah wa ni'mal wakeel! (Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best trustee) Perhaps he will help us with the inhabitants of the sky."
He said: "They will surround you and starve you."
They said: "Allah is the sustainer, and He is the provider of great strength."
He said: "It is me they want."
They said: "They will not reach you while our eyes are open."
He said: "So will you protect me with what you protect your wives and children?"
They said: "By Allah yes! Blood, Blood! Destruction, Destruction! We will not tire. So say Allah's name and strike with your right hand. Strike Osama! We will sacrifice our fathers and mothers for you. Strike, and hide behind our chests. May our necks be cut before yours. Strike at them! And may the holy spirit be with you!"
Here, Omar bin Ahmed bin Lewis bin Attiyatallah stopped reading to the sound of the crying of the Sheikh.
We looked - the Sheikh had covered his face with his robe, and he was shaking and crying and saying: "Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar!"
We remained quiet for a while. Then the Sheikh spoke between sobs.
"I have read the books of history and I have never seen a people stand to support a man, after the Ansar helped the prophet, like the way the Taliban helped Osama. There are their graves in Tora Bora, Shahi Kot, Kandahar, Disht Layli, Qal'at Janki and Kabul. It has also been told to me that one of the cross worshippers captured one of them (the Taliban) and told him: "Tell us where Osama is and we will release you!" He replied: "If he was under my foot I would not lift it!" Those are my fathers, so bring to me the likes of them."
The Sheikh then cried and cried. He then got up and left crying, and he did not finish the lesson.
