I was just wondering why I was banned. I kinda feel that I was banned with a group (and a fine group they are!), and maybe if you would rather my kind not be giving their opinions on subjects i can totally see your reasoning. But I was wondering... If it was "just because" that is fine also.

anyways, take care all

no

it means sfvalley was banned for disrespecting islam and muslims, it means sfvalley, york, details, rugged and crusader were what NY'ers would call "were caught in a sweep"

this forum has been a place of useless debate over some of the most nonsensical issues for far too long

someone posts a post about african-american muslims, and someone comes back, well the arabs were bad too

whats up with that?

amongst the numerous other issues and comments, and basically, you guys know you are going over the line, and i for one, am no longer dealing with it

this board is a place for muslims to communicate, about islam, its not a social club
this board is a place for kafirs to ask about islam, we are not your punching bags

there are a lot of useless chatter that goes on around here, from muslims and kafirs, and there is an aspect of islam that maybe you may not understand, but useless chatter is a sin for the muslims

we forget, we get carried away, but that doesnt change the matter

if i had my way, i would love to see ummah.com be a place of learning, for those that want to learn
not of cantakerous banter for no other reason than releasing the day's frustrations

this is not a forum of grateful dead lyrics, robert frost poetry, saying of buddha, or any of that

its not a place that if you are bored, you post fifty threads explaining how bored you are

and specifically for you sfvalley, if you cannot respect islam and muslims, this is not a place for you

P
oh and sf.. the missing "e" is a shame, it really doesn't look right without it ya know :eek2:
it was actually an old user name, i had trouble getting on here once, of course i am finding out that if i log out it clears something or other.

yes, in all honesty, a ban here just means that that name can no longer log on

unless you get an ip ban, which you would have to buy a new computer to log on

and if they are such a fine group, believe me, you are more than welcome to join them

Do excuse me for that brief ~ahem~ hiccup I had in deleting some irrellevant posts from this thread.

It is now restored to what I intended it should be. I think this is sufficient explanation from bro Raafi, mashaAllah.

Recently we've been having some problems with user behaviour, we are on the way towards rectifying all of that and moving ummah.com along because like bro Raafi said there is more to this place than any one issue discussed in CE or any one user on the forum.

So lets all correct ourselves and move on inshaAllah.

In terms of muslims disrespecting others, apparently, that's acceptable then. Is the gloating and joy expressed at the death of others something you endorse and is it acceptable for muslims to make those expressions without being challenged?.mr halal

thats not a good first post, thats an issue that has been discussed over and over

but because i am usually the lightning rod for the detractors here at ummah.com, i will try to explain to you our perspective

most of us on this board live in european or pseudo-european countries, thus we are subjected to the perspective of the kuffar on a daily basis

i see every day, "support our troops", i hear how "the american soldiers are sacrificing their lives for freedom", i hear bush discuss how we are either with him or the terrorists, and then goes and drops bombs on muslims, men, women and children

i watch how an old man was shot, point blank, and his murderer was not even condemned

so we are subjected to a daily onslaught of people expressing joy and death at killing terrorists

we see it a bit different, any muslims who is fighting an occupying force in his country is doing a good deed

an american victory means the death of many muslims, a muslim victory means the death of many americans

so as cnn, fox, and so forth wrangle their hands over the deaths of people whose sole purpose is to kill muslims, and cheer at victories in fallujah, tikrit, etc, here, you wiill find the opposite reactions

it should not be suprising for you, because if it is, than thats a testimony against yourself on how one-sided your thinking is

because you better believe that when the american soldier kills a muslim, there are high-fives shared amongst all

AbuMubarak i agree with you .. especailly here:

this board is a place for muslims to communicate, about islam, its not a social club
this board is a place for kafirs to ask about islam, we are not your punching bags

Ive noticed too alot of pointless arguementatice posts that are often recycling the same old ideas and the same old responses over and over again.

Halal this aint the place.. you don't seem to be getting it.. you post, I delete.. what does that tell you?

TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Bro Raafi, now I am wondering why you are bothering, lol

AND UNLESS sfvalley needs further clarification.. I will be closing this thread.. no more off-topic posting here.

mr NOT Halal has left the building, close the thread
In that case my advice to sfvalley is to direct any further questions to bro AbuMubarak via PM.
