View Full Version : only for brothers

I posted the thread here because i don't have access ( yet ) to the brothers forum ;)
The main aim of this thread is to establish exactly what kind of behaviour should have the sisters which are coming here, what they are expecting from us.
The question is:
1. Sisters should always ask what troubles them, search answers at their questions, even if this questions will have negative and positive answers which could induce some improper islamic interpretations;

2.Sisters should always hide their feelings, don't bother with questions any brother from the forum. Be quiet and behave like they didn't grow up a brain at all. Just back up each other and act like the sheeps.
The answer what you will give will be relevant because i think the woman should be always honest. Even if our attitude can be wrong at the moment we have the right to seek answers. I admitt sometimes is better don't be too honest because that could hurt you later, like everyone can see, since i revealed my attachments for animals, the numbers of posts against them increasily with speed. That was my mistake.
The sisters will not vote because , in the admi opinion, we need to choose the answer number 2.

I think everyone should be honest.

To quote Platon: The right to lie, should be reserved only to heads of the state.

Can we join in the discussion sister without voting or do we have to swing our hooks?

Ahlam you can join, only don't vote please:)
Its very important because i would like to establish exactly what kind of behaviour should we always have because one sis is out ,right now from here, because she dare to ask questions.

Well it depends what sorts of questions…some questions should ONLY be discussed with the same genders….so if she is trespassing that line not only is she making brothers here uncomfortable but also it kills the modesty concept.

We shouldn’t lie…truth is essential however, we should think before posting or asking certain questions…

The prophet (pbuh) told us to seek knowledge but that doesn’t mean you blurt out certain issues everywhere you go…or inappropriate questions where both genders will be able to view.

p.s-i don’t intend to vote.

Um...I do believe that she put a " ;) " after her comment to suggest it was a harmless joke.

As for your questions, Amal, I believe that many Muslim women have "issues" with such topics as female slaves, polygamy, etc. simply because we have been taught by Western culture (which denies the very existance of God and His laws) what oppression is and what it isn't. Due to this, many of us try to find ways to "justify" certain topics, ways which often include deviating away from and making up some things about Islam. I think it is safest for us women, and Muslims in general, to leave issues that bother us until our imaan is strong enough to accept everything in Islam willingly and without question.

Sometimes will never understand them. Thats why on many sites are scholars who can answer at your questions. Sajid posted once what can ask people on the :ask-imam site. I can't find the thread, like usual ;) Well if you read carefully are questions ask only to have a good laugh or smile. Why still scholars are replying?Because you can get knowledge only asking. If one of us decided this site have enough good muslims to discuss here the issues i think should not be sent away.

Honesty should always come first.....or consider silence as second, never lying.

There are border as how far one can go with askign questions, but as for within ones own gender, lol... you people discuss it amongst yourself...

Asalamualaikum

Wow. love to see the hadith that supports that.

So I guess if my husband asks if he's ugly, fat and lazy, I can answer honestly?

Grand:hidban:

InshAllah Allah won't grant me a husband with those characteristics:S
