last night i got a text saying that it had been announced that the 9th of dhul hijjah was going to be on the 19th (weds) and eid on the 20th (thurs) ... but obviously everywhere/everyone else said that dhul hijjah started on weds..so 9th would be on the 20th of jan and eid on the 21st..i.e. next friday

so..............

i checked on the islamqa website this morning and this is what it said:

It was announced tonight in Mekkah Mukarramah that the crescent moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah was officialy sighted,

thus making Tuesday , corresponding to 11 January 2005, the first day of the month of Dhul Hijjah.

Thus, the Day of Arafat, 9 Dhul Hijjah, will be on Wednesday, corresponding to 19 January 2005.
We ask Allaah to help us in remembering Him, praising Him, and perfecting His worship.

but............
on tuesday when i checked the website ...it said tuesday was the 30th of dhulqadah...and again when i checked on wednesday it said it was the 1st of dhul hijjah......which contradicts what they posted on their website yesterday

so.. WHEN IS EID??????????????????
