well they're not answering my questions:eek2: .

i LOVE toast and/or bread dipped in tea. My english friends think its weird. Butter on the toast is fine and butter + jam is great too:D ( a bit of "innovation" there)

Making eggs in butter, haven't done that in YEAAAAARS! rather unhealthy, ESPECIALLY for men of desi heritage since they have VERY high risk of heart disease, so ZE: listen up, stop him using ANYTHING other than olive oil when cooking and cut down the fried meals to like once or twice a week....: nani G is in the house.

plain cold milk. good for most who do not have have lactose intolerance, unlike me.:crying:

It is not a plot by the Evil Satan.

The Evil Satan produces REAL Cheerios under a label from the General Foods Corporation.

You poor Brits had assured me this summer that you had REAL Cheerios available, but wisely I brought two boxes of my own when visiting as my son does not accept shoddy, tasteless substitutions.

And yes, I shared my supply with the grateful children of London.

ze leetle elper

You are telling me you dip toast and you don't get bits floating? :nono:

As for MAKING the tea...listen to this strategy:

1. Put teaspoon of sugar in saucepan.
2. Add water.
3. Add pyramid teabag with peak of pyramid sticking out of the water.
4. Bring to boil and add milk.
5. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
6. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
7. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
8. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
9. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
10. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
11. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
12. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
13. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
14. Lower heat, and then bring to boil again.
15. Pour into mug. :D

Now someone tell me whatever happened to boiling water in the kettle, add a teabag, milk and voila?

yes mr j. this is the essence of what tea is for, hot chocolate does not soften like tea does due to a lacking in caffeine which i am sure helps the process. Coffee is reserved for sofetening tough items such as shortbread biscuits but due to its excessively stroing smell and taste it can ruin the flavour of certain consumables.

Never tried dipping toast in tea, but it sounds like a great idea. Does the toast hold together better than biscuits dunked in tea (which inevitably crumble)

Never tried dipping toast in tea, but it sounds like a great idea. Does the toast hold together better than biscuits dunked in tea (which inevitably crumble)
indeed sister they hold together wonderfully, there is a large amount of flop factor but this adds to the wonder.

i always cook eveything in olive oil. I can't even notice (or can't remember) what the taste is like.

I'll try dunking toast then :p

I cook all non-curry things in olive oil. Curry gets cooked in sunflower oil.

you may wish to try toast alone, toast with some form of spread (i.e. margerine or butter) or even a spread plus jam (yum!) which is veyr good for breakfast if you're feeling a little unwell in my humble opinion :D

I refuse to use anything other than olive oil. HUbby has heart issues in the family. I know your time of death is written and i truly believe it but i'm going to do all i can to try and make sure destiny happens for a reason! keep those arteries CLEAN!

Revels are excellent :freedom: !! (except for the ones with a reaaaaaaaaaaaaallllly hard and chewey filling that can actually accelerate the extraction of a loose tooth when you a kid! :crying: ).

Oh, and I'm guilty of dipping almost any foodstuff in tea (toast included) - even a rolled up paratha!!:eek2:
