Once upon a time
An old man told me a fable
When the piper is gone
And the soup is cold upon the table
And if the black crow flies
Find a new destination
Because someone has drained the colour from my wings
What'll you do for loving ?
I tell you just be satisfied
To stay right where you are
Keep yourself alive
It'll take you all your time and a money
To keep you satisfied
Honey you'll survive
I cannot run I cannot hide
Pardon me I have to get away
For many a lonely day I shall sail across the milky seas
Ne'er look back, never fear, never cry
I was told a million times
How I had to keep on trying
And get better ev'ry day
An old man told me a fable
When the piper is gone
And the soup is cold upon the table
And if the black crow flies
Find a new destination
Because someone has drained the colour from my wings
What'll you do for loving ?
I tell you just be satisfied
To stay right where you are
Keep yourself alive
It'll take you all your time and a money
To keep you satisfied
Honey you'll survive
I cannot run I cannot hide
Pardon me I have to get away
For many a lonely day I shall sail across the milky seas
Ne'er look back, never fear, never cry
I was told a million times
How I had to keep on trying
And get better ev'ry day
