Ravi: 'Urwa (RA)
Hadith: That Ayesha (RA) told him that Buraira came to seek her help in her writing of emancipation (for a certain sum) and that time she had not paid anything of it. Ayesha (RA) said to her, "Go back to your masters, and if they agree that I will pay the amount of your writing of emancipation and get your Wala', I will do so." Buraira informed her masters of that but they refused and said, "If she (i.e. Ayesha (RA)) is seeking Allah's reward, then she can do so, but your Wala' will be for us." Ayesha (RA) mentioned that to Rasulullah (SAW) who said to her, "Buy and manumit her, as the Wala' is for the liberator." Rasulullah (SAW) then got up and said, "What about the people who stipulate conditions which are not present in Allah's Laws? Whoever imposes conditions which are not present in Allah's Laws, then those conditions will be invalid, even if he imposed these conditions a hundred times. Allah's conditions (Laws) are the truth and are more solid."

Everyone is a guardian and responsible for his/her charges
Ravi: 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (RA)
Hadith: That he heard Rasulullah (SAW) saying, "Everyone of you is a guardian and is responsible for his charge; the ruler is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects; the man is a guardian in his family and responsible for his charges; a woman is a guardian of her husband's house and responsible for her charges; and the servant is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for his charge." I definitely heard the above from Rasulullah (SAW) and think that Rasulullah (SAW) also said, "A man is a guardian of his father's property and responsible for his charges; so everyone of you is a guardian and responsible for his charges."

I said to Rasulullah (SAW) (seeking his verdict), "My mother has come to me and she desires to receive a reward from me, shall I keep good relations with her?" Rasulullah (SAW) said, "Yes, keep good relation with her. "

something we should all reflect on
Ravi: 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (RA)
Hadith: People were (sometimes) judged by the revealing of a Divine Inspiration during the lifetime of Rasulullah (SAW) but now there is no longer any more (new revelation). Now we judge you by the deeds you practice publicly, so we will trust and favor the one who does good deeds in front of us, and we will not call him to account about what he is really doing in secret, for Allah will judge him for that; but we will not trust or believe the one who presents to us with an evil deed even if he claims that his intentions were good.

One day the Prophet of Islam seated himself in a mosque in Medina, along with some companions. Shortly thereafter, a Bedouin entered the mosque and began urinating. The Prophet’s Companions rose with the intention of beating the Bedouin. But the Prophet forbade them to do so, asking them to let him be. When the man had finished urinating, the Prophet asked the Companions to fetch a bucket of water and wash the place clean.
Afterwards he explained to his Companions:
"You are sent to make things easy and not to make things difficult."

Assalamu alaykum,
One of my *fav* ahadith:
I am as My servant thinks I am. I am with him when he makes mention of Me. If he makes mention of Me to himself, I make mention of him to Myself. If he makes mention of Me in an assembly, I make mention of him in an assembly better than his. And if he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length. And if he comes to Me walking, I come to him at speed.
Hadith Qudsi 15
Another:
If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, God will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge. The inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and (even) the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave (no monetary inheritance), they leave only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion.
[Sunan Abu Dawud, Book 25, #3634]
Do not envy one another; do not inflate prices one to another; do not hate one another; do not turn away from one another; and do not undercut one another, but be you, O servants of Allah, brothers. A muslim is the brother of a muslim: he neither oppresses him nor does he fail him, he neither lies to him nor does he hold him in contempt. Piety is right here-and he pointed to his breast three times. It is evil enough for a man to hold his brother muslim in contempt. The whole of a muslim for another muslim is inviolable: his blood, his property, and his honor.
