I say I fear Allah
But I do not follow closely to Shariah
I say I love Rasulullah
But I do not engage in his Sunnah
I say I adore Islam
But I'm embarrassed to spread Salam
I say I admire Sahabah
But I never fulfill my Taubah
I say I'm proud to be a Muslim
But I prefer the Kafr way of dressing
I say I'm ashamed to ask for Allah's forgiveness
But still I repeat the very same sin
I say I will be dutiful
But I waste time in plentiful
I say I will be good
But many times I act rude
I say I am sincere
But my heart is unclear
I say I am honest
But my thoughts are biased
I say I will help feed the poor
Yet when they came I feel unsure
I say I will lend a helping hand
Yet I give only the cents
I say I love all mankind
Yet I use words that are unkind
I say I adore all creatures
Yet I commit corruption in this universe
I say I'm sad for the victims of cruelty
Yet I didn't contribute even a penny
I say I sob over their dilemma they've got
Yet I laugh everyday without much thought
Am I contradicting my word with actions?
Millions of thoughts and resolutions
But still it left just words
Which just pass by the road

hmm nice poem..i think it'd relate to many of the neo-muslims as i like to call ourselves..i must admit..i believe i too, fall into that category although not so much only the bit when you said-

'I say I'm proud to be a Muslim
But I prefer the Kafr way of dressing'
i think the above would relate to alot of us

Ever since I wore Hijab I got attacked for doing so...

But a well-covered nun would make her way and just pass us through...

A Muslim brother would be dragged by his beard...

While a rotten Israeli enjoys his, with the rest of the herd...

Justice and democracy they falsely proclaim...

And we're dying for the American dream of fortune and fame!!

what Islamic dreams have you ever dreamt of?

Or are you just too busy with 'love'-related stuff?

I've read about our history and cried for our past dying glory...

Better Read about the Sahabah and their glorious stories...

And if a lonely tear falls on your cheek while you read...

Know that it's within your hand to grow that islamic seed...

Grow it in your heart, irrigate it with your life...

Then...Make dua that Allah would help you with your strife...
