im just asking cos there is a imam in the masjid of southern California called imam Abdur Rahman Mangera anyone know him
wasalaam
I live in San Diego but doubt you would call me a brother. I haven't heard of the guy. If you need help with restaurants, places to go, etc. just let me know.
I'd definitely recommend you make it to the kiddie pool in La Jolla. You can get a few meters away from a bunch of sea lions. It's free, but the only problem you might have there is parking. The San Diego Zoo is also a popular attraction.

san diego zoo always has a REALLY long queue, not that you know what a queue is, stupid.
heheh j/k :D
but why is it so difficult to communicate with americans when it's our language they speak?
is the airport for depatures quite popular too?The departures area is just about as busy as the arrivals area. Why do you ask?
san diego zoo always has a REALLY long queue, not that you know what a queue is, stupid.Well it depends on what time you go. I went on a Sunday morning, and there was no line (or queue) whatsoever. I made the mistake of trying to see the baby panda after a few hours. A one hour wait to see one cute animal...thanks, but no thanks.
Ps. Nice assumption you made there. Completely false in this case.

it's pronounced "cue" by the way and not "cuewaywey"...:D
fyi,
People who have a bit of a stats and/or Industrial Engineering background know about the queue. People who don't may not use the word but would know what it means.
Here, it is normally used to represent work that needs to be done. For examples, they would refer to a bunch of customers waiting for service as a queue. The customers would probably refer to themselves as being in line.
Everyone knows it's pronounced cue. "Cue-way-way" is the fun pronunciation, however.

lol! your defensive attitude is rather amusing... how old are you?
I'm just ribbing... it's taking the mick, pulling your leg, having you on. NO need to get defensive. You could come back with something about how the brits always talk about the weather or how we caused pretty much every major war zone inthe world today... or how bad our 'teef' are...
i'm just saying that during the two years i lived in LA NO ONE knew what a queue was... thas all i'm saying...
may be i shoulda tried saying cuewaywey?

what part of LA?
Kinda west LA; Pico and Barrington, where the 10 and the 405 meet.

You do know that written communication isn't the best medium for humor, right?
No worries. Chalk that up to this whole thing being on the internet not to mention our senses of humor being an ocean apart.
