Alhamdulillah the month of Ramadan is approaching and if Allah (swt) gives us the ability we will fast.
Unfortunately for many it has become the 'month of sleeping' and instead of reforming oneself it has turned into a cultural practice or 'a thing we must do', hence devoid of all the benefits a person could gain. The root cause of this is ignorance. Year after year the same questions pop up. How can we 'really' make use of Ramadan in a practical way. The answer lies in preparing for it! This specially designed course will help you explain the following:

* Fasting - proofs, obligations, breaking fast * Permissible and non-permissible actions
* Taraaweeh * Issues surrounding Moon Sighting
* Eid ul-Fitr and Zakat ul-Fitr * Differences in opinion
* Other types of fasting * Women and fasting
* Making up fasts *The inner dimension of fasting

... and many other issues that are closely related to Ramadan.

This year there is special unit dealing with payment of Zakaat. Many Muslims decide to pay their zakaat during this month but very few know exactly how to exactly calculate it especially when most of us have wealth stored in many different schemes. Inshallah, this will be an INTRODUCTION and we hope to cover the following ;

* Defining Zakaat * Eligibility and conditions
* Valid recipients of Zakaat * The authentic way of its calculation
* Etiquettes of dispersing ones Zakaat * ... and much more.

*Notes will be provided.
*ALL WELCOME
* Free refreshments served

The blessed Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned that 'The believer who recites the Qur'an and applies it is like the utrujja (fruit), whose smell is fragrant and taste is sweet .' (Bukhari)

Utrujj is based upon the teachings of the above Hadith in seeking to equip you with the sacred knowledge of Islam, while simultaneously training you in it's implementation in your daily lives. As a result of this dynamic approach your personality should insh'Allah come to personify this sacred knowledge.

The change this creates will be witnessed by those around you as they smell the sweet fragrance of your good speech and taste the sweetness of your exemplary actions. Such a change within individuals is critical in realising our covenant with Allah and for the spreading of Islam, especially here in the West.
