"Happy New Year"

Just a New Year's reflection:
I do find much value here.
I learn much regarding Musims of various views.
[I learn less actually about Islam itself, which is a shame, but the many links provided are good]
I learn to question my beliefs and views especially in regard to the Mid-East conflict and to America and the world. I have the opportunity to provide (too often) an "opposing" (hopefully balancing) view to blanket anti-America, anti-Israel/Zionist, anti-Judaism/Jew statements that I find.

There is too much misinformation out there regarding Muslims and Jews, Israel and Zionism and Arabs and the Palestinians. That has become increasingly clear--and frightening.

Today begins the Jewish New Year [Rosh Hashannah] and the beginning of the Days of Awe as we approach Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement.

I wish to thank you and all here for the opportunity to participate, to contribute to the dialogue, and I apologize if anything I have said has been inadvertantly disrespectful or dismaying. May G-d/Allah inscribe you and yours into the Book of Life for the coming year.

Respectfully,
History

We have much in common then, if I could add that I have the opportunity to provide an "opposing" view to blanket anti-Muslim, anti-Islamic statements that I find also.

There is too much misinformation out there regarding Muslims and Jews, Israel and Zionism and Arabs and the Palestinians. That has become increasingly clear--and frightening.

Unfortunately it is easier at times to swallow misinformation that is handed to you than to actually research the truth for yourself.
