Being the respectable type that I am, I wouldn't want to title a thread, GO TO HELL. Particularly around my Muslim friends.

Nah, Doom 1 was distributed for free and it was a best selling game. I will end up buying it anyway, the download is going to take a week or two.

There isn't going to be a DOOM-4. The third version is the LAST version :
Its release is the gaming equivalent of the third film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

George Lucas released the final Stars Wars epic "Return of the Jedi" (episode VI) in 1983. Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Lando Calrissian and their small army of friends rescue Han Solo from the clutches of the menacingly ugly Jabba the Hutt and go on to do battle with the Empire, even after Darth Vader has broken off in his own rebellion. The Empire is building another Death Star and the Rebels have a plan to destroy it. Han, Luke, Leia, et all are all critical to the success of this plan. Using the master plans of the Death Star they forge a strategy to attack its weakest point. We get to see another great dual between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

the third in the equivalent of a Trilogy? Peter Jackson is going to remake the HOBBIT, thus making it the fourth 'Rings' movie in the trilogy....
NEVER, Say, NEVER! AGAIN !!!!! (007)

In the Star Wars series, George Lucas decide to release the last three movie-scripts at the beginning, and the first three in the end. It's his idea of fun and magic. :D
And the Hobbit is actually not part of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but was a Tolkien book written about the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, the father of Frodo, published before the epic Lord of the Rings saga. If Peter Jackson, a most brilliant director I might add, decides to make a movie remake of the Hobbit, then he would be basically taking the path of George Lucas, though the Star-Wars timeline was pre-decided. ;)

Lucas was so disappointed with the first three that it took, what 18 years to start the fourth? Also, Jackson didn't intend to do "The Hobbit" until completing the first three movies. Point being, plans change. If there is a demand for Doom4 (in true 3D, tactile controls, brain jacks or whatever), it will be made.

Well it hasn't been explored in gaming recently, has it? Unless you count in Tintin in Tibet, a 1996 MS-DOS based game. ;)

$43! That's a give-away price, BBC reported it would be around 50 bucks. Aaaah, but we in Bangladesh can get it for around $1.5. :D

correction - there are meant to be 9 parts to the starwars saga.
however due to the investment and commitment required to make episode 1-3 - plans for eposide 7-9 are currently suspended but u neva know - wait another 18yrs and they cud be out.
