assalamualaykum
in the holy Qur'an Allah (swt) says that we, His slaves can never and will never be able to count all of the favours and bounties He has given us.
For example, the action of breathing has 2 bounties, 1 which is inhalation and the other which is exhalation.
this is because if we don't breath in we will be starved of oxygen and will die, and if we dont breath out we will also die. we never think about that.
instead we're consumed in worldly affairs and we forget about why we are here. so it is very vital that we praise Allah constantly, doesn't mean we should praise Allah everytime we inhale, and then praise him again for everytime we exhale, that would be pretty tricky, but if you want to go ahead.
but at least say Alhamdulilah 100 times a day, subhannallah 100 times, Allah hu akbar 100 times , laa ilaha ilal lah 100 times. praise him after you eat or drink. and before you go to sleep try to think of all the bounties you have been given and all of the tasks you have been able to do because of the limbs Allah has given you and thank him.
Allah doesn't like it when we're ungrateful, so its important to do your salaah 5 times a day in order to show your gratitude towards Him. cause We truely owe Him so much, think about the greatest bounty that He has given us, He has made us muslim, He has shown us the truth,He gave us Iman, 4 billion people in the world don't have that bounty, (since there are 1 billion muslims out of 5 billion people), think how special that is. so pray to Allah and be humble towards Him, to purposefully miss your salaah is one true joke and jest, so read your salaah at least.
Life , there is no doubt how unpredictable it is, whats gonna happen in the future, whether we'll become millionaires or destitutes, we have no idea whats gonna happen. but one thing that every person can say.
whether they be non-believer or believer is that we will all die. so we should prepare for that certain coming. Insha-Allah my fellow brothers and sisters in faith, we will be successful in this world and in the akhirah, if we truely worship and glorify Allah and show Him geniuine gratitude for His pleasure. ameen.
