Moonlit sky glistening forth
Lend me an ear
Hear my call
Absent friends, bear witness to my gall
The sky littered with brightness
All the wonders of the deity
Summer streams knelt at winters bow
In a fortress canopy
Tiring of today
A poet commands an army
In rhythm with heart, marching
With chisel, scribing upon sheets of stone
The pen relays a tearful poet
No longer the lustre, just emptiness
Lord! Dear lord, will you bless with a rub
A demon pulls sullenly on my coattail
In the grip of Norn
Grateful are the dead as they succumb
With epilogue still frozen on the eye
Methinks of them when the breath becomes a struggle
I would like not, be a chariot on fire
I would like not, be a bleeding heart in deep mire
Lend me an ear
Hear my call
Absent friends, bear witness to my gall
The sky littered with brightness
All the wonders of the deity
Summer streams knelt at winters bow
In a fortress canopy
Tiring of today
A poet commands an army
In rhythm with heart, marching
With chisel, scribing upon sheets of stone
The pen relays a tearful poet
No longer the lustre, just emptiness
Lord! Dear lord, will you bless with a rub
A demon pulls sullenly on my coattail
In the grip of Norn
Grateful are the dead as they succumb
With epilogue still frozen on the eye
Methinks of them when the breath becomes a struggle
I would like not, be a chariot on fire
I would like not, be a bleeding heart in deep mire
